Monday, 16 November 2009. NW Filming 14th November. On Saturday I went to our only location, the woodland near my house, and shot as much of our performance based shots as possible. However due to weather conditions which brought on heavy rain and strong winds. And although we captured some good shots, this was not a sufficient amount for the performance in the video and therefore we will have to go out and shoot again this week. After having a group discussion on what we needed to achieve in the magazine advertisement and digipak, we concluded that all the fonts that we thought we might use were not in keeping with the natural theme. Intertwined with the artistic images. So, we set about searching for a new font, and after a while searching we found the font above, called ‘Body Hunter’. From the website http:/ www.dafont.com/. We thought that the font connoted the randomness.

We researched a majority of album covers and advertisements within this genre of music, and all print media produced by The Shins. From this we found that The Shins used a cell shaded, cartoony art style on their advetisements and the majority of their album covers. We came up with the idea to depict challenging ideological discourse of the dominant capitalist mindset.
