The Unprocessed Project

Saturday, July 25, 2015. While in college, I spent a semester living abroad in Prague, Czech Republic. I will not say "studying" abroad because there was very little studying that took place during my stay. It is still to this day one of the best experiences of my life, and this city will always be special to me. This salad is the perfect side dish to take to that backyard cookout or pot luck dinner. 1 green pepper (red, yellow, or orange works too). 1/2 cup feta cheese. Makes about 4 cups. These peanut ...

The Unprocessed Project: June 2015

http://www.unprocessedproject.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 29, 2015. Homemade fruit and veggie wash. I used to think a quick rinse under the water faucet was enough to wash all the gunk off my fruits and veggies. Wrong! To make at home. Homemade Fruit and Veggie Wash. 1 part distilled white vinegar. Mix ingredients in a spray bottle. Spritz mixture on produce and rub it around a little. Let it sit for a minute or so, then wash off. Thursday, June 25, 2015. Two ingredient ice cream. I just had to give it a try and you know what? Blend in a blender or...

The Unprocessed Project: peanut butter protein bites

http://www.unprocessedproject.blogspot.com/2015/07/peanut-butter-protein-bites.html

Saturday, July 11, 2015. Peanut butter protein bites. These peanut butter bites are a great snack for kids and grown-ups alike. I'm thinking that they will be a great addition to lunch boxes when we go back to school next month (NOOOO! You could easily swap out the peanut butter for any nut butter. These bites are pretty sweet and are not considered a low calorie, so try to resist eating them all in one sitting! Peanut Butter Protein Bites. 1 c natural peanut butter (or other nut butter). 1 tbsp flax seed.

The Unprocessed Project: smoky sweet potatoes

http://www.unprocessedproject.blogspot.com/2015/06/smoky-sweet-potatoes.html

Monday, June 22, 2015. We started eating sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes when I did my first Whole30. About three years ago. I have grown to love them way more than their white relative. These sweet potatoes are smoky and sweet at the same time. They have become a staple in our house, and it doesn't matter how many I make, there are rarely leftovers. 3 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed. 2 tbsp olive oil. 2 tsp chili powder. 1 tsp garlic powder. 1 tsp sea salt. O'Donnell Update: December 2014

http://odonnellupdate.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. We got out the baby swing that we used for Blake and Claire. New Year's Rockin' Eve has a whole new meaning now at our house! Raise your hand if you will be awake at midnight! I didn't notice she was doing this until after I downloaded the photo.). She seems to like the swing a lot. I think we will be using this a lot! I put it in the kitchen so that we might all actually get to eat meals at the same time! Posted by Caroline and Ben. Friday, December 26, 2014. I can't even b...

O'Donnell Update: Madeline is 7 Months!

http://odonnellupdate.blogspot.com/2015/06/madeline-is-7-months-old.html

Monday, June 29, 2015. Madeline is 7 Months! 7 months old last week! She is trying so hard to figure out how to crawl! She can get around with her army crawl, aka "the human swiffer" as I like to say. She can get her belly off the floor and rock back and forth but once she wants to go somewhere it is back to the army crawl. She really wants to join Blake and Claire in whatever they are doing and will listen to where they are and then head that direction. Not so fast sister! I couldn't pass up the chance ...

O'Donnell Update: September 2014

http://odonnellupdate.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 25, 2014. So yesterday Blake brought home an art project he made at Montessori of his favorite things. The teacher felt it was necessary to tell me she forgot that he had cut some of these pictures out and by the time she realized it he had already glued everything on. I told the teacher maybe he likes fashion.or maybe he just likes the ladies? Posted by Caroline and Ben. Sunday, September 14, 2014. There were actually some other people there but not to bad for a Saturday! I told them...

O'Donnell Update: Blake's 6th Birthday

http://odonnellupdate.blogspot.com/2015/08/blakes-6th-birthday.html

Monday, August 3, 2015. I was afraid that Blake might turn 7 before I posted this but it here it is.a little late! July was a busy month for us so it has been hard to keep up with the blogging. We celebrated Blake's birthday on the 14th, his actual birthday and had his party with friends a few days later at Laser Craze. Ninja Turtle Theme of course! Blake wanted to spike his hair). Blake got to choose where he wanted to eat on his birthday and his choice was McDonalds? Meet Briggs Hudson Murray! We had C...

O'Donnell Update: Madeline is 8 months

http://odonnellupdate.blogspot.com/2015/08/madeline-is-8-months.html

Monday, August 10, 2015. Madeline is 8 months. Catching up and even though Madeline is over two weeks past 8 months now, I did actually take these pics when she turned 8 months. I am trying really hard to keep up with the monthly pictures! 8 months and standing up! I think this was her big milestone this month but it has been hard to keep up with this little girl! It seems like a few days later she was pulling up on things, creeping along the couch, and climbing up on everything! Hopefully she will slow ...

O'Donnell Update: August 2014

http://odonnellupdate.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Thursday, August 21, 2014. Blake's First Day of Kindergarten! Today was a big day. First day of Kindergarten for our little man. He was so excited and ready to go! He set his Lego Batman alarm clock last night for 6:45am and as soon as it went off he ran into our room and said "Today is my first day of Kindergarten! I am glad he was ready because I wasn't sure that I was! Ben actually had a little free time this morning so he was able to come with us for the big day! No details for mom? Oh and he also to...

O'Donnell Update: 4th of July weekend!

http://odonnellupdate.blogspot.com/2015/07/4th-of-july-weekend.html

Tuesday, July 7, 2015. 4th of July weekend! We had some special visitors for the 4th of July! Makes the day a lot easier with little ones. It was hard to get pictures with everyone looking of course but here are a few fun ones from the weekend. Madeline was much more interested in Claire's hair of course. Blake was actually in the parade with a few kids from his T-Ball team. He got to ride on a golf cart which was a big thrill for him! Claire and Madeline had matching 4th of July dresses! O'Donnell Update: April 2015

http://odonnellupdate.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Saturday, April 25, 2015. Madeline is 5 months old. I think this month we have spent a lot of time wondering is there a tooth in there yet? Madeline has just about every sign of teething except actual teeth! She is still pleasant and content most of the time so maybe she just likes to chew on things. This picture I took kind of reminds me of the gerber baby.haha. One more month and we will get her started trying real food! I can't believe it! She still thinks I'm crazy with the camera! She reached out to...

O'Donnell Update: January 2015

http://odonnellupdate.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Madeline is 2 months old. Trying to squeeze in a blog post in between drop off and pick up and feeding the baby and changing the baby and picking up again and dropping off again is not easy! This is only a few days late so I don't feel too bad! She was very serious during the 2 months photos or maybe just confused by dad and the camera? She actually smiles a lot.even in her sleep which is super cute. The sisters have fun while Blake is at his afternoon class. The Ohio State U...

Stay updated via RSS. Remember the good things. Posted: April 5, 2014 in motivation. Willie Nelson and Oprah. I really need to just take time every day to be thankful for the good things. Being appreciative of the fact that I even have a car to get me places makes traffic seem like a minor issue. Having an amazing little house that fits all my needs and more diminishes the fact that I may not have a lot of disposable income for things I don’t really need. 8220;Once you replace negative thoughts with posi...

Mom: Unprocessed

Monday, January 3, 2011. So, I have begun a new blog with my old friend Amber. We will be writing about our struggles, suggestions, and successes with organic, natural, simple and unprocessed living. It should be an interesting blog since it is coming from 2 different voices - one that is already inclined towards all things hippy (that'd be me) and one that is more conventional (yet conscious). We have been friends since first grade! We're seen each other change a lot. Now it will be documented change.

Unprocessing My Planet

Tuesday, March 10, 2009. So, what exactly is Unprocessing My Planet? Obviously, it's about food and the environment. But that's not all - it's about unprocessing feelings and stress. It's about unprocessing bottled up emotions that prevent us from ever moving forward. Unprocessing My Planet is a journey towards betterment, finding a natural way of life - physically, mentally, and spiritually. I've always been intrigued by alternative, mystic kind of stuff. I was so there! You can read all about that here.
