A little sewing, a lot of learning and a bit of life
A year in review… – Unseamly Girl
https://unseamlygirl.wordpress.com/2015/02/26/a-year-in-review
A little sewing, a lot of learning and a bit of life. February 26, 2015. February 27, 2015. A year in review…. As always, I am running late. I know it’s the end of February and I haven’t posted much through the holidays. But, it’s not like I haven’t been sewing, thinking about sewing or writing blog posts in my mind. I have so many ideas, thoughts I want to share…time has eluded me and I haven’t formalized my fleeting ideas into words. Until, tonight. Here we go…. So Where does that leave me for 2015?

A little sewing, a lot of learning and a bit of life. June 12, 2015. Today is the last day of school! So, officially, summer has started. Yay! I took the afternoon off for the epic neighborhood parents vs kids water balloon fight. The bus driver even gets in on it – arming the children as they get off the bus with water balloons. Too much fun! And then the kids scattered and went off to play with their friends – leaving me with 2 HOURS(! Of sewing time. By. My. Self. Eee! This is the Harper blouse. And w...

An account of my sewing projects and other random parts of my life. Projects Waiting For Me In Stash. Thursday, August 14, 2014. Burda 08-2014-116, Open-Back High-Low Dress. I have been enjoying the cutout trend. And so when I saw Burda 08-2014-116. I instantly fell in love and had to make it. For the back bodice, I did a Broad Back Adjustment and also took a HUGE tuck out of the back neckline, which was really, really wide. For once, I didn't need to do a swayback adjustment to the pattern because the c...

An account of my sewing projects and other random parts of my life. Projects Waiting For Me In Stash. Thursday, October 31, 2013. Simplicity 1796, Crossover Dress with Elastic Waist. I graded down to an 8 at the shoulders and bust. I used the silk/wool I got at Paron last November. The fabric presses so beautifully, I thin...

http://sewingfantaticdiary.blogspot.com/2015/05/throwback-thursday-3.html
Thursday, May 14, 2015. Along with Closet Cull posts there will also be a couple of posts about garments that I found in the dark depths of my wardrobe that have been resurrected.rising to the front of the closet like the phoenix rising from the ashes. Or in short, I can wear them again. This is one of those posts. So last Spring, almost a year ago now, I was in a mood to tackle a big project and to do it right. I don't know why that came over me- it's unusual! I am more of a "make it in a weekend" gal. So I decided it was time to make a trench. Burda 11-2012-118. I needed the trench coat, and I needed it now! Taken with Flash to Show Reflective Piping.

The plan was 5k and half- his first half marathon and my 7th. November 12, 2015. So th...

Unsearchable Greatness - Ascribing Worth to God in the Life of a Worshiper
Ascribing Worth to our God in the Life of a Worshiper. About the name…. Worship: The Valley of Vision. I often feel in our contemporary church culture we are narcissistic toward the contributions of past generations often discarding any contribution that they have had in the building of Christ’s church. Today’s worship thought comes from a collection of Puritan prayers and devotions called The Valley of Vision. You will see their passion and sense of [.]. Balanced Worship: In Spirit, In Truth.
