The Westification of the Situation. Sunday, November 05, 2006. Zombies and Gobelins, or Art I Heart. I was just looking at a slide show. Of Parisian photography. Does that make me culturally aware, pretentious, or just bored? Anyway, I found this photograph and I really like it, and yet, it somewhat creeps me out:. Avenue des Gobelins (1925) by Eugène Atget. Also, I saw this. Album in Waterloo Records yesterday, and I almost bought it solely on the basis of its title and artwork:. Me, Myself, and I.

The Westification of the Situation. Monday, October 31, 2005. Ryan Adams has a better Halloween than you do. I know Halloween is over, it's a few minutes past, it's the day after and whatnot. Nevertheless, you must (must! Listen to this song. It is good. Ryan Adams - Halloween. Heart stops beating, all the words worth repeating. She is dancing but not singing, is it maybe that she doesn't know the words? She's dressed up, but don't worry, she's got friends. Snowflake eating, she is mildly self-defeating.

View my complete profile. Mueller On: The Living Dead. Mueller On: Struggle and Peace. Tuesday, August 15, 2006. Mueller On: What's fair? I have an ever-present tendency to ask God the question, "Why Me? These words can be heard rolling off the tip of my tongue on a fairly regular basis. This is because I tend to believe that I don't deserve what is given to me. Maybe because I think I've earned better, maybe. For me, this is the "why" question that continuously lingers: "Why can't I change? Many of us a...

The Melodious Accord: May 2005
http://melodiousaccord.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
So, as you know (if you've been keeping up), I went to Norway last week, and let me tell you, it was just one adventure after another. Aside from making the pleasant discovery that I could have a decent career as a fjord fisherwoman. Ate fish pudding (which is not exactly as repulsive as one would suppose. Andrea said, "it just makes eating fish easier, as you don't have to worry about the bones."). Had an unexpected, and unhappy, encounter with some barnacles (one of the things I hate. Who told you that?

But that is what I like about the way The Sunday Times publishes the weekly TV lineup. They comment on every movie so that you know ahead of the time what you’re getting into. And being a British publication, it feels no compulsion to be complimentary. Here are some examples:. Tears of the Sun. Miserable bio-pic of the American comedy trio. Universal Soldier The Return.
