http://cestlavie-kerensamarie.blogspot.com/2012/05/its-nearly-time.html
Sohere we are. 10 training days left and 16 days until I race in my first half ironman. 2 years and 3 months since the day I decided that I'd race a half, after watching and Ironman and thinking "pfftt can't be that hard" (umm.right) I'll be floating around with a bunch of other crazies at 6:45am in a mass start in Cairns. A couple of weeks ago, I picked up my race suit (all about the outfit! And use the code 'XOSIZE' for 10% off). See you soon Cairns! Friday, May 18, 2012. Straight to your inbox! Hawaii...

So where the bloody hell are you? Sigh That would all be true if the plane diverted to Hawaii. In the 24ish hours since landing, it has been cold, windy and has rained non-stop. Never mind, I thought, this can't bring me down! And I live in Melbourne.pfft this is nothing. Then I remembered I'd need my wet weather gear. It's excellent I remembered this while at Cairns airport when said gear is still at home. In Melbourne. Should" is not "will" and in my line of work is the sort of language we use when eit...

A Triathlete's Journey to Ironman & Beyond: September 2013
http://xaviercoppock.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
A Triathletes Journey to Ironman and Beyond. I just do what I love. Sunday, September 8, 2013. Tour of Murray - Day 5 Stage 6. The day I was waiting for and was bound to happen. 105k Road Race, perfect weather, slight breeze, Tour of Murray up for grabs. Not that I was there to see how the race unfolded. The legs were done about 7-8k in and I was off the back after about 10-11k along with 10 others. The big boys came to play to win the Tour and the minnows like me, suffered, a lot. Once our group settled...

A Triathletes Journey to Ironman and Beyond. I just do what I love. Wednesday, September 4, 2013. Tour Of Murray - Stage 1 Report. After the long trip up to Mildura on Monday, the nerves were rather unsettled. Damo was laughing a fair bit as I think that he would have never seen me so nervous. For me, I don't know if it was nerves or fear. WHAT WAS I THINKING? Meeting the team ( Huon Genesys. I listened to their brief pre race team meeting and we rolled down to the start. Once we got there, we did th...

Just have to say that, have no ambition to either, I just wanted to experience the "Professional Life" for a week. Training'nRacing Matt: IM Cairns piccy time !
http://matty30.blogspot.com/2012/07/im-cairns-piccy-time.html
Info and news on training and racing from Matty Lewis. Friday, July 20, 2012. IM Cairns piccy time! Swim exit. Thank god for the Rocket Science Carbon wettie which kept me afloat - 1hrs 9mins Hmmmm. Turnaround at Port Douglas. The crowd support here was quite amazing. It had a bit of a Hawi feel about it, a good sized and enthusiastic crowd at the furtherest point of the course. Probably around the 28km mark along the Esplanade in Cairns. You can see the famous mud flats where the croc was resting in...
