Friday, May 18, 2007. Tuesday, May 8, 2007. My process thus far:. Digitally model the animation. Physically model the digital model. What emerged from this process was a set of drawings used in the constructrion of the physical artifact that were far more compelling than either the animation or the artifact itself. My intention is to begin the process all over again, using the new, emergent diagram as a basis for future investigations. Tuesday, May 1, 2007. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tuesday, January 30, 2007. A room full of monkeys with typewriters . . . will they eventually make Shakespeare? What makes a group of blind and completely unintelligent ants work together in such a beautifully choreographed way? How can thousands of fireflies in Thailand blink with complete synchronization? The next and seemingly obvious question (at least for me) is: "How can a study of emergence be a generator of architectural forms? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

With this new rubric, we can begin to understand Cohen’s intentions. Can the perception of architecture, both conceptually and physically, merge with the experience of architecture? In other words, is it possible to design a form whereby we both see and understand it simultaneously? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sunday, March 25, 2007. Project 1 - Virtual Projection. Contemporary Techniques in Architecture. Ali Rahim discusses about the potential of contemporary techniques as something that influences and transforms culture, society and politics. Technology plays an important role being in constant interaction with culture and transforming it by a process of feedback and evolution. The later is what Rahim calls “ actualization in architecture”. Can it really work as nicely as it sounds? The interaction between l...
