Its the fag end of mango season, yet, I got these mangoes which tasted similar to kili mookku manga (translation: Parrot nosed mango). Bangaloora, Totapuri are the other known names for this variety. It has a sweet yet mildly sour taste, a brilliant aroma and is usually used for making manga thokku and pickle, apart from eating as bedhai (long slices) with salt and chilli powder.
