Just another WordPress.com site. The foot pegs which were drilled and tapped. The pegs were sprayed orange to match the motorbike. The pegs were attached through a drilled hole in the side of the frame, using a bolt which screwed in through the end of each peg. Handle bars and grips. Front Light and Lithopane →. Just another WordPress.com site. After applying black spray paint. After applying the yellow. The appearance I am trying to achieve is like flames flying off the back of the frame as it moves . This links back to my theme showing Māui bringing back the fire. This is why the whole frame isn’t yellow. Finished appearance with orange misted on to finish the flame look. Overall I am happy with the appearance even though there are a few areas that could have been improved. Beginning to look like a Motorbike.

Just another WordPress.com site. Beginning to look like a Motorbike. This picture shows what is together to date. Tomorrow I hope to finish my handlebars. After that I wish to attach a rear mudguard and then spraypaint the frame. Front suspension and steering. This picture shows the parts for the suspension assembly. Here we see how the parts are assembled. The steering bracket was marked out and then cut to shape using the band saw. Then it was filed down and the corners were rounded. Larr; Older Entries.

Hoping to finish with some oxy-acetylene welding. Then after grading I will hopefully clean the welds up. Sculpting of the Tank. Using rasp and chisel to sculpt the tank. Trench that crossbar slots into. Concept sketch for tank with dimensions. Sketch shows the desired shape for the tank and some key dimensions.

Just another WordPress.com site. Handle bars and grips. Parts for handlebars. Top bar was bent by heating with the gas torch and bending around a form. The finished handlebars. TIG welding was used to join the parts. Gaps were filled before spraying. Sprayed black. The Appearance I was looking for is one where the flames would look to be flying from the back of the bike so the front would be sprayed black and then laquered. I am very happy with the bike and really enjoyed designing it and making it. November 28, 2011. To make the seat i first of all cut out foam to the dimensions i wanted and rounded the front of it. If I was to do this project again I think I would have be more productive with my time because towards the end I had a number of ideas that would improve my bike but because I was so short on time I was unable to complete them. Just another WordPress.com site. A hole was drilled in the crossbar. I made a small bracket for the mudguard so that it could be riveted well to the frame using the pop-rivet gun. It was sprayed yellow first and when dry orange was added and when that was died the laquer was sprayed on. The stickers were printed and then I decided to cut out the stickers because i didn’t want the white background. The sticker on the tank shows a Maori Tribal face tattoo. Front Light and Lithopane.
