Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Sautéed Komatsuna with Basil. I got some komatsuna in my CSA veggies today. It is soooooo delicious prepared this way! The instructions are from a blog called Chubby Bunny Recipes. Last time I made it, I ate the whole pan myself, on top of some brown rice. I was in heaven! Komatsuna is a typical Japanese leafy vegetable. It is often called Japanese Mustard Spinach in the. Supermarkets. Young leaves, stalks and flower shoots are used in salad and stir-fry. 2 tsp olive oil.

http://bradandcathyowens.blogspot.com/2011/04/japanese-lunchbox-salad-with-baked-tofu.html

Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Japanese Lunchbox Salad (with Baked Tofu). Taken from "Moosewood Restaurant Cooking for Health," it says "This may be the quickest, simplest way to enjoy many of the flavors you might find in a Japanese bento box." I love this salad, and the baked tofu recipe following is great in lots of way- on sandwiches, salads, and stirfries. 2 T peanut oil or vegetable oil. 2 T lemon juice. 1 T soy sauce. 1 T dry sherry. 1 T grated peeled ginger root. 1 garlic clove, minced. Owens Family: December 2009

http://bradandcathyowens.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 4, 2009. It's starting to get pretty cold here, but we're trying to get out to get what tiny bit of sunshine and fresh air we can before we can't go outside anymore. I was thinking of emailing Trader Joe's to see if they needed a mascot- Hannah would make a pretty cute one, don't you think? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Watermark template. Wednesday, June 4, 2014. James at 5 Months. At the end of March I took pictures for James 5 month update. The big milestone of the month was rolling over from front to back. Anytime I put him on his tummy he would roll over. Hard to force him to do tummy time! Here's some cute pics of him in his special shirt made custom for him from my aunt and uncle. It says rockabye sweet baby James, like the James Taylor song! He is our sweet. Baby James, for sure. Rolling over action shots. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tuesday, December 8, 2009. Or what we thought was going to be a snow day! This last Saturday night it snowed a little bit up in Orem, but it Dumped a Ton on every town but ours. Bryan said that Jack Frost just sneazed on us and cried on everyone else. A. Nyways, by the time we got home from church on Sunday, the boys were dying to get their snow clothes on and play in the snow. It was not good, because this was all that was left of the snow. With Ben, Sam, and Aaron, too. Friday, April 22, 2011. So, Ben has his stitches out now and his forehead looks pretty good. Now our focus is on getting ready for this baby to be born. I was telling James last night that it still hasn't completely hit me that we are adding another person to our family. Maybe that's just how it is after the first baby? Don't get me wrong- I am super excited to meet the guy who has been karate-chopping me for 9 months- I guess it just doesn't quite seem real yet. He hasn't ...

With Ben, Sam, and Aaron, too. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Today I love being a mother. I love being a mom every day, but today I actually felt. The love all day long. It was a gift. And now they are all quiet and I can bask in the love for the rest of the night. Maybe we're getting past the absolute craziness of having a new baby; maybe it was a fluke. But I appreciate it. Today is a gift. May I remember it tomorrow. These pictures are not all from today, but they all make me happy:. Me and ma vie.

Saturday, March 14, 2009. That's right, TAYLOR just turned 6 years old! Ok, it was a little over a month ago, but at least it made it to the Blog. That was all the money we had, so that is all we did! But the kids loved it. We are so grateful that he has kids his age in the neighborhood and also some amazing ones in his school class. It was mighty cold outside to do a pinata, so we did it in the garage. It worked out great! I think the kidos had a really great time. At least we had fun. Dave and Lucy Wall.

just a little glimpse...

Just a little glimpse. Sunday, January 16, 2011. Our little Lucy has been saying the funniest things lately! Here are a couple that made us laugh out loud! 1 The other day she was playing in the bathtub. She was waiting for Brad to come in and help her with something. She said, "Dad, are you coming? Brad responded with, "Yes, Lucy. I will be there in just a few minutes, I am just finishing reading this part of my book." Lucy curiously asked, "Is it a book about God? She brings such joy to our home! I fou...

The Misguided Adventures of Brad and Cass. Friday, December 26, 2008. Christmas Eve with the Lindemanns. Thursday, August 29, 2013. First Day of School 2013. This year, the first day of school was a first of a lot of things for us. Brylie started 1st grade! This was definitely more difficult for me than for him. He has been looking forward to this for a long time! He has a brand new teacher out of school and he is in the PM class so he can come home with his sister. He, like Brylie, will do just fine in school! He already reads very well and can count like a champ and is even doing math. So the wait began.

She asked. "Please tell me how he is behaving! Brad had to leave for work at 5am on Father's Day, so the day before we snuck out and decorated his car and left some cards and goodies that the kids had picked out for him. Carter then warned him not to go outside. He pretty much gave it away with his elaborate warnings but I was glad he at least knew not to say the words, "We left a surprise for you in your car.". Then Emery wanted to do the same,. At first I was shocked, wondering if one of the kids must ...
