Virtual Environments: wk 10: Did you know that lights have bones?
http://paulsvirtualenvironments.blogspot.com/2008/11/wk-10-did-you-know-that-lights-have.html
Tuesday, 25 November 2008. Wk 10: Did you know that lights have bones? Captains log, Star date 569709: Well yes they do. mine do anyway! 4 The problems started when I linked the cable to the lighting case because when I moved the light case the cable followed the centre of the case and not the point that it enters into the case. As you can see below it messes itself up by turning inside out! Now I have done one light I can copy it for the other lights and start to animate them all over again! PS Just for...

Virtual Environments: wk 12: The last legs...
http://paulsvirtualenvironments.blogspot.com/2008/12/wk-12-last-legs.html
Thursday, 11 December 2008. Wk 12: The last legs. Captains log, Star date 569716: Me, Matt and Amy presented our work so far on Tuesday, it was just a shame that we did not have all of our rooms rendered. We explained our storyboard and the concept of our advert which is simple and hopefully understand-abubble! Below is a shot of my beloved characters! Some are grooving some are jumping around whilst others are head banging or waving their arms. I went for the cheesy operator effect which is why I'm not ...

Virtual Environments: December 2008
http://virtualenvironmentslisa.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, 11 December 2008. So, we have now finally finished the project and have put everything together using Premier Pro. This project has been quite interesting and fun to do, although stressful at the same time! I enjoyed making the toy train move along with the light shining, I felt this was quite enjoyable to watch so should be no problem to entertain children with this advert! As well as using the Biped (again this could be improved on had I figured out how to fix the envelopes problem). The fina...

Virtual Environments Group: Questions for YMCA
http://macs-ve.blogspot.com/2008/09/questions-for-ymca.html
Tuesday, 23 September 2008. Just if anyone has any other ideas for questions to ask when we visit the YMCA on monday. So far I have thought of:. Is there any limitations to what we can do? Does the advertisment have to be done in a certain way? Example does it have to be serious or can we add humour? Is there anything we have to include? Is there anything we can't include? Which topic is the highest priority? How long does the animation need to be? Virtual Environments Group Blog. View my complete profile.

Virtual Environments: Testing Movement
http://virtualenvironmentslisa.blogspot.com/2008/12/testing-movement.html
Saturday, 6 December 2008. This is one of the silhouettes created and has been put into the final scene, however I thought I would take this video to show it's movement as it is not that clear/visible in the final product. The silhouette is 'controlling' the toy train, and watching it move at the same time. If you look closely, you will be able to see the arms and head move. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Virtual Environments: Premier Pro
http://virtualenvironmentslisa.blogspot.com/2008/12/premier-pro.html
Thursday, 11 December 2008. After all the members of the group had completed their scenes, it was time for all the scenes to be joined up together with music included. Luke, Rich and myself managed to edit the videos in Premier Pro. Techniques used were cutting parts of videos and fading music to match the scenes appropriately (animation movements in time with the music beats etc). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Virtual Environments Group: October 2008
http://macs-ve.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Monday, 13 October 2008. Sue has been allocated the crèche due to her ability to produce appealing models for the younger generation. This is mainly because she has passion in design for the younger. Martin has been allocated the rock night because it gives him the ability to demonstrate more advanced modelling, material mapping and animation techniques than previous modules have allowed. It focuses on key interests within his lifestyle which means that he can incorporate knowledge and enthusiasm wit...
