Kirk: Feedback (review)

http://www.cmdiplomakirk.blogspot.com/2009/03/feedback-review.html

DO NOT EDIT THIS BOX. View my complete profile. Wednesday, 4 March 2009. From the feedback i have recieved i can see that there is definalty room for improvement with my film opening. Other than that issue with the age / target group and the comment about adding more details about the actor / character within the sequence. The overall comments for my film opening were highly positive, but as i said there is definatly room for improvement. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

DO NOT EDIT THIS BOX. View my complete profile. Friday, 27 February 2009. My final opening sequence / video. After looking back over my feedback, i have made a few changes to my opening sequence. The main change that i made to the sequence is to change the titles, as they were said to be "too in the audience's face". . Overall i am very pleased with the outcome of my final opening sequence. . Shown  below is my final opening sequence, and also the draft / rough cut version. . Rough Cut / draft . How to o...

Monday, 16 November 2009. For our film opening, we were concerned that the video may be too complex for people to understand. To make it clearer, we created two versions, one with a voice over, and one with a alternate ending, which makes the opening far clearer. Sunday, 15 November 2009. Evaluation Question One- In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? 5th shot: This was one of the few shots where we used the dolly provided by the media...

Task 2: How does your media product represent particular social groups? All characters also have similar roles in the films, they pick on people who are vulnerable and they set all the trend, However no one really likes them they just scare people into liking them. . Sunday, 15 November 2009. The setting and location screen-grab is an example of one of the 4 locations that we shot in. The shot we have used is in a walking scene and is supposedly located outside the characters house. Its quite conventional as it shows the character walking to school and leaving the house, it would appeal to our target audience as it is the sort of day to day routine they would carry out. What does a production company do? Where does the money come from? Idea of a Distributor? These ar...

Tuesday, 21 April 2009. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? Ie of film openings)? Jumping sttaight into action - like james bond intros. Establishing special effects at films disposal at intro. Keeps main character hidden/unknown, sucking audience in. Works heavily on over the top FX, almost to comedic level. Outfits over done to comic style, gives more vivid/rapid introduction to styles being conveyed. I also feel rahter than a fil...

Monday, 16 November 2009. Beat The Bully finished version. Tuesday, 10 November 2009. 1st frame: In this frame we chose the title of the film to go where the characters first meet. The reason for this is because it is the part of the opening where the tension builds up to. We did choose the title 'Beat the Bully' because the main character gets bullied and he will fight back. We chose these locations because they represent the genre of the film, and makes it look and feel like a regional independent film.

Tuesday, 17 November 2009. L3 - GROUP 3 (Tom and Liam) Fim Opening Rough Cut. 1 (Props) : We used the one main prop, which was the ipod shuffle. We used this for two main reasons. The first was so we could use the soundtrack, and the second was to give the film something the audience could relate to. 2 (setting and location) We decided to set our film in urban areas because Its where most teenagers live/brought up. We chose house that would typically be seen in the city. 9 (Costume) We chose to dress the...

This is our contact sheet for our opening sequence. The first frame is of our main title. We decided to have the main title at this point as it enters dramatically. Tuesday, 10 March 2009. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? Ie of film openings). I chose this shot for location because it is the first shot in the scene, It fades into this shot with the title Long Road Presents riding through it.
