I sliced potatoes and deep fried them and they actually came out really delicious. I was so impressed with myself. My family was too as they gobbled up those potato chips. For Easter, we love taking the boiled eggs that have been dyed and colored by the kids and turning them into our favorite recipe “Deviled Eggs.” We love Deviled eggs but sometimes the regular deviled eggs during Easter can get boring. Good Food from the Midwest and much, much more! February 4, 2014. Saving It For Later. That Hoppin’ John recipe from last week was delicious. However, in one evening, served over rice and a kale/spinach mix, the recipe left over half the crockpot full of beans. Delicious, flavorful beans. I don’t like eating leftovers, but my income situation says that throwing food away is not the smart way to live. Seriously? Bottom line, we need to eat this again. I’ve got to save these for later. Cornish Pasties (Donna Killian). Turn on floured board and roll out into a narrow strip. Fold into three, turn one of the open ends toward you and roll out again. Do three times. Roll the last time into a circle about 6 inches in diameter. 1/2 lb ground beef. 1/2 cup grated raw potato. Fill Ruff Puff pastry and fold over. Press edges together. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake in a hot oven (425 - 450F) for about 30 minutes. 1/3 cup baking cocoa. 1/2 cup all purpose flour. 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
