http://aligraphix.blogspot.com/2011/03/more-paper-nature-experiments.html
Digital sketchbook scribblings (:. Tuesday, 1 March 2011. More paper nature experiments. Here are some outcomes from my water lilly paper session. I found the task very time consuming and would further develop this by scanning my drawing and exporting it into a c.a.d. software where I could duplicate designs and cut out using the laser machine. Today I Wore My Hair Up.: The Beginning Bit
http://catowendesign.blogspot.com/2011/05/beginning-bit.html
Today I Wore My Hair Up. Wednesday, 4 May 2011. One of the alterations I wanted to do was begin my animation as a blank background and gradually reveal the figure. I manage to to do this by masking the first few frames on photoshop. Posted by Cat Owen. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Graphic Design for the win! View my complete profile. Paper Paper Paper: So not as easy as it sounds!
http://bpgraphicdesign.blogspot.com/2011/03/so-not-as-easy-as-it-sounds.html
Wednesday, 9 March 2011. So not as easy as it sounds! So i tried out the wet folding technique and found it is A LOT harder than i thought. I think the main problem was that i had my heart set on being able to produce something as amazing as Richard Sweeney. This didn't really go as hoped! 65279;Even after experimenting with several models i couldn't create the shapes i was hoping for. Richard Sweeney obviously has a secret ingredient he's just not letting out! Here are a couple of my best attempts.

Today I Wore My Hair Up. Wednesday, 4 May 2011. I've slightly altered my final storyboard using the new media styles I have chosen, however, the storyline is basically the same and the timings haven't had a huge difference to them. Black background, gradually heart and figure revealed in time with the beats . Figure and heart completely revealed. (Heart still beating in time with music). Figure begins to walk. City begins to draw itself. (Figure still walking and heart still beating). Posted by Cat Owen.

Paper Paper Paper: Shaped Structures
http://bpgraphicdesign.blogspot.com/2011/03/shaped-structures.html
Wednesday, 2 March 2011. I found a few structures and buildings that have all been formed around or resemble the shape of moving water such as waves. I really like the bench above as it takes a really similar form to some of the paper models i have made with its pleats creating curves. I also found the work below that has been produced using paper to create a waved appearence. I havent tried out this technique yet so i will have a go and see what shapes can be produced. Emily Roche: February 2011
http://ecroche.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Graphic Design Sheffield Hallam. Monday, 28 February 2011. Philip Treacy.BUTTERFLY and FLORAL hats. I found the work of Philip Treacy when I was researching butterfly patterns. They are pretty impressive hats, but you don't see many people walking down the street in them. I love how its like an explosion of colour and pattern being displayed proud of place on somebodies head. They so extravagant and eye catching but they still manage to have the elegance and beauty of the natural form. To truly see how a...

Graphic Design Sheffield Hallam. Thursday, 14 April 2011. I enjoyed the workshop so much that a continued to develop a range of characters in my spare time. I still kept in mind to keep the character simple and not to over complicate my designs. Here are some examples of my ideas. I then look at animal designs as well. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Excuse the shoddy quality, blogger didnt like quality sizes). The way the sculpture moves is very like how plants and flowers move during the day, following the sun.
