The house of CHAOS: May 2009
http://thehouseofchaos-jodes.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
The house of CHAOS. Tuesday, 19 May 2009. I had two days at my new "work" yesterday and today. One word to describe my working environment would be peaceful. As it is an international company, there are many lurks and perks of being an employee, even if you're only temporary ;). I think I'm in love. I told MATH that I would quite happily accept a part time job there if ever there was one going in my area. Friday, 15 May 2009. My news. I scored a 5 week contract working. It will be a full time gig...And, ...

The house of CHAOS: March 2009
http://thehouseofchaos-jodes.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
The house of CHAOS. Thursday, 19 March 2009. Because you asked, and other news. Ellie, these are for you. Please excuse the feralness of the original chair coverings. As I said in my previous post, what were we thinking with cream seats? I am pretty sure it was less than a month that we'd had the chairs before they started getting destroyed. And, I will admit that we do not sit at the table every dinner time. Please excuse the drops of water on the couch. Sunday, 15 March 2009. And, this is not very exci...

Umeboshi Pink: Sweet potato gnocchi
http://umeboshipink.blogspot.com/2009/12/sweet-potato-gnocchi.html
Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Ok, you got me - I eat from Pooh Bear plates ;) Tonight I had a craving for both gnocchi and sweet potatoes, so decided to try making gnocchi with sweet potatoes. I usually make potato gnocchi, tried pumpkin once but it didn't work. I think the issue is moisture, potatoes and sweet potatoes are quite dry and that makes for good gnocchi. Boil your water and add a good quantity of salt to the boiling water. Add your gnocchi and remove with a slotted spoon once it floats to...

Umeboshi Pink: January 2009
http://umeboshipink.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 2, 2009. This recipe is inspired by Gillian McKeith's Sleepy Lettuce Soup (You Are What You Eat recipe book). But of course, mine is brilliant. Tonight is a freezing cold summer night in Melbourne and I enjoyed this soup while sobbing over a heartwrenching episode of Adoption Stories. It has made me sleepy and very warm. So I will be off to bed after blogging this. So here is my version of lettuce soup:. 1/4 of a large gold sweet potato, or 1 whole standard sweet potato. 1 baby cos lettuce.

The house of CHAOS: November 2009
http://thehouseofchaos-jodes.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
The house of CHAOS. Tuesday, 17 November 2009. We are definitely in storm season now. There is nothing I love more than a good lightning show, and thunderous cracks. But, please, no more storms on Tuesdays for the next five weeks. My weekly escape was rudely called off because of all the storm action. Wednesday, 11 November 2009. So, Mr Stubborn hit the big 4 today. So hard to believe. I can remember when he arrived with such clarity, it could have been yesterday. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Umeboshi Pink: Khmer Krom Caramelised Pineapple Tofu
http://umeboshipink.blogspot.com/2009/02/khmer-krom-caramelised-pineapple-tofu.html
Monday, February 23, 2009. Khmer Krom Caramelised Pineapple Tofu. Tonight I made this recipe from the KhmerKrom recipe website: http:/ www.khmerkromrecipes.com/recipes/recipe287.html. It was incredibly easy and I made it completely in the slow cooker. Took me just a couple of minutes to prepare and then a couple of hours in the slow cooker. My picky five year old ate it happily, so it must be good ;). February 23, 2009 at 1:21 AM. March 11, 2009 at 1:15 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Umeboshi Pink: March 2011
http://umeboshipink.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Long time no blog. I didn't blog for a very long time, but due to some prodding by friends I will try and do this again. I thought I would start with some ideas for smoothies. I might even add a pic later ;). Every morning I make different smoothies for breakfast, mostly because my son is not a breakfast kid and I want to get some nourishment into him before he goes to school. I keep ziploc bags of baby spinach in the freezer - Yes! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This blog has moved.

Umeboshi Pink: December 2008
http://umeboshipink.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 28, 2008. 1 whole small butternut pumpkin or a larger one split into 2. Gluten free SR flour. Healthy additives to suit you: caramelised onions, cranberries, nutmeg, fruit (if you want a sweeter bread), garlic - the possibilities are endless. First you need to bake your butternut pumpkin whole or in two halves as pictured, trickle with a little rice bran oil if desired and bake for 45 minutes at 200c. To check is bread is ready, tap with a knife. If it sounds hollow, it's ready! Twas the...
