In the Kitchen With Courtney

In the Kitchen With Courtney. Sunday, August 25, 2013. Banana Peanut Butter Muffins. This morning I realized I had 3 over-ripe bananas in my fruit bowl and didn't want them to go to waste, so I decided to make some banana muffins. I found a really basic recipe on Pinterest that only called for 2 bananas and I actually had all of the other ingredients at my house, so I decided to give it a whirl. There was my idea. It took some tweaking, but I actually ended up with some seriously good muffins! So, what d...

In the Kitchen With Courtney: December 2011

http://www.inthekitchenwithcourtney.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

In the Kitchen With Courtney. Sunday, December 11, 2011. Here it is.probably my most-requested recipe ever- and probably one of the easiest! How long does it take you to open 5 cans? Wellthat's how long it will take you to throw this together! I really can't take credit for it, though. The original came from the Fix It and Forget It. There is no "right" way to make this.but here's my favorite rendition:. 2-3 chicken breasts (you can just throw them in frozen! 1 can diced tomatoes. 1 can tomato sauce.

In the Kitchen With Courtney. Sunday, December 11, 2011. Now this particular recipe resulted from a range of ideas and other similar recipes. I am a fan of quiche, but it seems like it always takes FOREVER to bake.no fun when you are starving for brunch after church and you have a crazed toddler running around! So I came across a pin on a friend's board on Pinterest. Cooks faster, much easier to get out of the pan, AND I can put them in baggies to grab for a quick on-the-go breakfast.win-win-win! 2 Add a...

In the Kitchen With Courtney. Wednesday, April 17, 2013. So, what do you do when you have a can of crescent rolls that's about to expire and you need a quick dinner? Tonight, my first instinct was to take the tried and true pig-in-blanket route- but alas, there are currently no hot dogs in my refrigerator! I also have a great creamy chicken pocket recipe (that I will have to remember to post on here soon! I added a nice salad on the side and VOILA! Dinner in about 20 minutes! 1 can of crescent rolls.

The Kirbys: December 2012

http://lifeofthekirbys.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 7, 2012. So, here I am in my fifteenth week of pregnancy. Crazy this much time has already passed. Also crazy that we find out the gender in less than a month! Not sure I'm ready for that quite yet! Hmmm, I don't weigh myself in between appointments. We'll go with 0-2 lbs for now. Still sleeping good and not quite as worn out at night. Best moment this week:. I seem to have gotten a little energy back. Not much, but I'll take it! 170 at 8 weeks, 154 at 12 weeks. Depends on the day. With ...

Tuesday, May 21, 2013. I turn 32 on Thursday, and while this year's birthday is going to be super low-key and a bit overshadowed by the birth of L, I still have a few things I want! Friday, March 29, 2013. My hero. Swoon. Monday, March 25, 2013. 29-30 Weeks / Homestretch. I'm knocking on the door of 31 weeks at this point (giving me a little over 8 weeks to go), and after a weird/terrible week of yet another sickness capped off by a visit from some sort of stomach bug, I'm feeling good again! Although I feel like a whale, this time around random people have been so complimentary and nice to me in the comment department. Wednesday, March 13, 2013. 2 c chicken broth. 1 can tomato sauce.

Sunday, February 24, 2013. Clockwise from top left: A caterpillar, me, a ladybug, Barry. At our weekly family breakfast, Branner asked our sweet waitress for crayons and a piece of paper. Lately, he really hasn't been as into art as in the past. I'm not sure what happened. Last year at preschool, he took craft time very. Seriously. This year, his teachers say he's kind of over it. I know deep down there is a little artist inside because of this picture. Tuesday, February 19, 2013. He was SO EXCITED.

Wednesday, March 13, 2013. I tried a new recipe last night that I was really impressed with! Not only was it easy and fast to make, but it was delicious. This is also a kid-friendly recipe. I modified some from the above recipe. 2 c chicken broth. 2 c quick cooking brown rice. 1 lb ground turkey (could use chicken or beef). 1 medium onion, chopped. 2 medium bell peppers, seeded and chopped. 1 can tomato sauce. 1 c shredded cheddar cheese. There are about a million ways and combinations to serve this up but here is my favorite way! 1 1/2 c. sliced potatoes. Sliced onions to taste. A tsp chopped olives. A few slices of polska kielbasa.
