The adventures of us! Thursday, December 22, 2011. Merry Christmas and SomeThings That Made Me Happy Since I Last Blogged. Before my happy things a quickish update on our life. I think I am starting to do a little bit better and have completely embraced foster care adoption. There are so many children from infants to older children who need love and I know that my kids are waiting for me and I want nothing more than to find them and start giving them the life they deserve. Thanksgiving at my parents house.

We took the opportunity to go for a hike today at Deer Creek Canyon and followed up with dinner with our friends James and Sarah. Dexter had a lot of fun playing with their little daughter Annabelle. Friday, March 7, 2014. Burke had his 1st birthday last week and it was a lot of fun! I made him a baseball cap cake. Using the blue frosting may not have been my smartest plan- we had blue frosting all over the place by the time he was done digging into his cake! It was fun to watch him attempt to open presents before the older kids jumped in to "help" :) and it was awesome to watch him get all messy with his cake. Love that tradition! So here are some pics:.
