The chapter by Donald Graves, An Examination of the Writing Processes of Seven-Year-Old Children, was very interesting to me. First of all, I really enjoy case studies. I'm not sure why, but after I took adolescent psychology I just love case studies! Thursday, February 15, 2007. Anyway, I enjoyed the class today though I wouldn't want to do this everyday. Who's process do we teach?

How Schools Suppress Creativity. I've encountered this text before in another one of Shipka's classes. It brought some interesting questions to the table. It asks if the five paragraph essay suppresses creativity in students. I do think Lauren made her point, but I also think that she defeated her own purpose. The formula could be applied in different ways, as she demonstrates. Therefore suggesting the formula is adaptable and changable. The question, does this formula suppress creativity?
