I have been influenced by natural textures such as coral and volcanic formations and the way in which water and lava flow, interact and are affected by different surfaces. The priciple desire is to view the pieces from above as one would with rock pools and coral reefs. Their form accentuates the inside texture but when water flows over the egde, the eye is led to appreciaite the outside. My use of thicker glazes reflects both tidal and volcanic flows.

Good food is my life. I got a new computer so I can blog again! I also have a new kitchen! Well, I got whole new house, but mostly I am excited about the KITCHEN! Sadly its hideous right now. Choosing paint colors wasn't the previous occupant's strong suit.
