What’s That You Say, Young Man? | shenrydafrankmann

Things I Should Warn You About. Hopeful honesty from simple sentences. What’s That You Say, Young Man? Asymp; 1 Comment. Thank goodness for hot water and Irish Spring. I emerged from the shower feeling as good as new, the only other requirement to prepare me for the rest of the day the necessary caffeine rush. I had finished my second cup of coffee when the trailer door opened slowly and a groaning teenager entered. 8220;Dad, I can barely walk. My thighs are so sore.”. Larr; Previous post. Things I Should Warn You About. Hopeful honesty from simple sentences. Welcome Back, Mister Blue Sky. Asymp; 3 Comments. Riders around here blame the weather on me. Yep. I bought that fancy mountain bike in the middle of April, ensuring a season of wet and mud. And who can feel dark when listening to Mr. Blue Sky? It is indeed a blue sky type of day. I’ll let you know how the ride goes. I have a text message in to Nate, asking if he wants to abandon his summer video gaming long enough to br...I just got ...

Things I Should Warn You About. Hopeful honesty from simple sentences. Asymp; 7 Comments. There is nothing better than baseball, except maybe if it is Cardinals versus Cubs baseball. Last week started off the right way. Thanks to several donations in the form of a Father’s day gift, I was able to get the best seats I have ever had for a professional baseball game — 7 rows from the third base dugout at Wrigley. Heaven. 8220;Do it again! 8220;Way to go. Nice play, ALL STAR! I looked at Nate. He had a s...

Everyone Has A Harry | shenrydafrankmann
https://shenrydafrankmann.wordpress.com/2015/07/14/everyone-has-a-harry
Things I Should Warn You About. Hopeful honesty from simple sentences. Everyone Has A Harry. Asymp; 4 Comments. Lessons from my parents. We figured Harry was too mean to die young. Both parents said that. That was 45 years ago. That memory has little haze. I still remember the hate in Harry’s eyes, the bewilderment in my father’s eyes. Dad had a temper, but it wasn’t evident then. Our next midnight mission was to pull them up, then toss them on his front porch. He replaced the posts with longer ones.

Things I Should Warn You About. Hopeful honesty from simple sentences. Asymp; 6 Comments. I am riding again. That is all that matters. Last night, more single track, this time at near 100% effort. I feel like a stud again. Yes, I am a stud. It’s a beautiful evening. Time to kick back, hope for dry trails this weekend. I took tonight off, just enjoying the weather out on my back deck, grilled brats and a brew. Heaven could be now. Mountain bike in cool weather. Evenings with a book. Asymp; 2 Comments.

Things I Should Warn You About. Hopeful honesty from simple sentences. Asymp; 1 Comment. Dry weather. Finally. Dry weather means that I don’t stay dry. I sweat. Don’t think I have shirked my duties (that sounds dirty) with all this bike riding. Not eye. I mowed the lawn before zooming out to the mountain bike trails. I suppose I should feel fried. Oddly, I’m not. In a few minutes, I will sleep the slumber of the pleasantly relaxed, a rest aided by having a quiet house. Larr; Previous post. I Am An Adult.

Things I Should Warn You About. Hopeful honesty from simple sentences. Asymp; 4 Comments. I have a new somethinerother bracelet, not really my thing, but nonetheless it will be for a while now. Why? Because my favorite girl made it just for me. I made this for you, dad. Does it fit? Alyssa beamed as she handed me the bracelet. I put it on my left wrist, a perfect fit. Can anyone tell how proud I am of her? Daughters raise up their father, lift them up. Maybe that is why God gave me a daughter. I need...

Life in Luanda
Sunday, May 23, 2010. 8220;Beat and Wind” from Japanasia. We saw this advertised just a few days before it happened – a special event organised by the Japanese Embassy. We didn’t have much information about it except the title, but as an avid fan of live Taiko (drumming) from Japan, we signed up for the bus that was going to it without hesitation. Bill hasn’t seen Taiko drumming before but was easily convinced he’d enjoy it. There were a few speeches at the end (where I understood much more of the Japane...

Life in Ludowici
Wednesday, June 17, 2009. I Think I'm in the Wrong Profession! OK Where did I go wrong? 4 years of college and then Graduate school. just to earn a living! Well, Tanner and his buddies raked in 50 plus dollars today selling lemonade again! Is that crazy or what? I got very nervous when a Ludowici Police Officer pulled up out front, but she actually bought some lemonade! I hope we're not breaking any child labor laws here! Thanks for all of the advice! He and his buddy raked in a whole $12.15! We had lunc...

life in Lumino City | a story blog
Life in Lumino City. New apartment, same Maanchen. July 20, 2012. Either the hacks over at Organised Crimes are appalling or Maanchen has buried this blog in some kind of digital Timbuktu. I had dreaded for months various posts being read aloud in a court, particularly those highlighting my mental incompetence. But that hasn’t happened and I didn’t want to disappoint my two readers (hello Maanchen! So here I am, at it again. Posted in The City. Suffice it to say) I’m not dead. April 1, 2012. I’m visiting...

How To’s…. Want A Fun Day Out? Head To The Races! October 18, 2015. You may have seen last week that I was looking forward to a day at Newmarket Races for their Dubai Future Champions Festival. Saturday came around quickly and I had to throw together an outfit as it was a bit grey and rainy! Nevertheless, the husband and I were really excited about the day and arrived in Newmarket around 12pm. What a beautiful place Newmarket is! We headed to the Show area where the horses are walked around before a race.
