Once my friends and I had found our new saris, we were ready for our first Indian concert. The concert was Qawwali, an old form of Sufi music, with poetic songs lasting from fifteen to thirty minutes. It was great, and I recorded a few songs. How To’s…. Want A Fun Day Out? Head To The Races! October 18, 2015. You may have seen last week that I was looking forward to a day at Newmarket Races for their Dubai Future Champions Festival. Saturday came around quickly and I had to throw together an outfit as it was a bit grey and rainy! Nevertheless, the husband and I were really excited about the day and arrived in Newmarket around 12pm. What a beautiful place Newmarket is! We headed to the Show area where the horses are walked around before a race.
