That is definitely NOT Mel Torme. Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Mark grew up with the tradition of going for a hike on New Year's Day. Some years that's turned into getting outside and shooting some guns, but with the little kids that we have we're sticking with the hiking. This year, we went on Monday to South Mountain with Mark's parents, his brother Ryan, and sister Shauna. The weather was perfect and we had a great time. Most of my problems center around a lack of self esteem or a crappy sense of self worth, or no self confidence. Whatever you want to call it. Marie is now 31 weeks pregnant and doing great, though she is now home on bedrest (which basically means staying home as much as possible, resting a lot, and not doing too much.) I mistakenly thought it meant lying down in bed 24 hours a day. Apparently not. However, we now have more clothes for newborns and 0-6 months than we can probably use. The Story of Us. Wednesday, July 8, 2015. The Virginia Creeper Trail is an old railway now purposed into a bike trail through the mountains of Virginia. From the top of mountain, and I use that term loosely since mountains are more like hills around these parts, it is a seventeen mile coast down to the bottom. We headed up to Virginia Friday morning with our friends the Starks. We anticipated a leisurely ride, enjoying the scenery, and stopping for picnics and play. Hah! We loaded up and began our decent.

The Dog's Breakfast
Friday, June 23, 2017. So much has happened. Still, I'm posting here more for the sake of historical record than because I'm inspired to write. You take what you can get I guess. We've found a house (in Milton) and moved in, and are mostly settled. We have a car (Volkswagen Golf) and have taken a few excursions in it. We've already had two getaways by plane - to Toulouse in France, and to Tenerife. Both were lovely. Marjorie has a job lined up but is waiting for final approval. Friday, January 27, 2017.
