My Kitchen:My Laboratory: June 2007
http://mykitchenmylaboratory.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Enjoying Good Food and the Occasional Cooking. Saturday, June 23, 2007. I found this peculiar-looking fruit during one of my supermarket trips. I couldn't really walk away without buying this. So I went home to do some 'background check' on this fruit. The Horned Melon belongs to the cucumber family, and is grown in New Zealand and California. Due to it's intriguing appearance, people are often attacted to it. I'm certainly one who did. Cutting through the fruit revealed the following:. It's a pity I did...

Enjoying Good Food and the Occasional Cooking. Tuesday, December 26, 2006. Happy Boxing Day and. Yes, it's a birthday, but not mine. One year ago on December 26th, this laboratory of mine was born :D. I loved to bake since my teenage years, all thanks to Home Economics class in secondary school. However there was a hiatus of several years before I started baking again, but this time with even more gusto. As I celebrate the one year birthday of this blog, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank you all ...

http://mykitchenmylaboratory.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Enjoying Good Food and the Occasional Cooking. Friday, April 20, 2007. Legend of the Dragon? I just realized that I’ve been posting about fruits for the past two Weekend Herb Blogging. Well, these lovely fruits seems to be taking turns to appear on the supermarket shelves. It’s really difficult to walk past them without transferring one or two packs into my shopping trolley. This week, to entice her (hopefully), I thought a glorious-coloured fruit might do the trick. Correct me if I’m wrong :p). Posted b...

Enjoying Good Food and the Occasional Cooking. Tuesday, July 07, 2015. Chia seeds have been very popular in recent years. These seed are native to c entral and southern Mexico and Guatemala, although I have bought some which states it's from Bolivia. The popularity stems from the seeds nutritional content - they are packed with proteins, antioxidants, fibre and other nutrients(you can google chia seeds to read more). 25 tbsp chia seeds(black or white). 125ml(1/2 cup) milk(can be dairy, coconut, soy, nut).

Enjoying Good Food and the Occasional Cooking. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Revisiting an Old Friend. Like I mentioned previously, I started blogging again partly because I found a lot of memories while browsing the blog for recipes. I am pretty active on Instagram so have been inspired by a lot of accounts, some of which feature talented bakers who churn out beautiful loaves of bread. That ignited the passion in me to start bread making again! No need to spend unnecessary $ . Posted by Angie Ch. Makes me t...

From My Kitchen: Easy Apple Galette
http://quickneasytreats.blogspot.com/2014/09/easy-apple-galette.html
Friday, September 12, 2014. I had a bunch of apples at home and running out of fridge space to keep them. Ended up making this easy apple galette to get rid of some of them. Other than the pastry that needs a recipe, the filling is simply by estimation. I used flan pastry for this galette because it is the easiest and less fragile. Flan Pastry (adapted from Michel Roux Pastry). 250g pastry flour (original using plain flour). 125g butter, diced and slightly soften. 1 tsp caster sugar. 1/2 tsp fine salt.
