Nathan Ring's Life on a Page. Love God. Love People. Love the Nations. Monday, March 15, 2010. Day 3 in Haiti. Today was incredible. Well after I was woke up on the roof to rain and carrying my mattress downstairs at like 2 AM and then sweating in the hot room until 6 AM. That was not so fun at all. Anyway, today we first started off by painting downstairs in the school where we painted 3 class rooms. That lasted for a few hours, then we ate lunch. March 16, 2010 at 1:53 PM. Ive been working with clay in one capacity or another for almost half my life now. Over the past few years I have found myself continually drawn to utilitarian handmade objects and the potential for pottery to function as a craft and a fine art. I have investigated many other artistic media and techniques such as leather work, wooden tobacco pipe carving, and found object sculptures, but Ive always gravitated back to clay.

It’s sights like this, seeing big brother Nathan reading a story to his baby brother, that make my heart melt. Such a precious sight to see. Now if only they did this more often instead of bickering over toys! Baby John is doing great as well. Can you believe he is already almost 21 months old?
