fresh from the bakery: August 2013

http://coates-inc.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 28, 2013. I've been waiting for this fabric collection to come out, and today it arrived! OMG I loooove it! Koi by Rashida Coleman Hale. Hobby Horse prototypes for a new project I'm working on. I'm making a Washi Dress. Fingers crossed it all works out. Clothes making (human sized) intimidates me. Did I tell you that we are going to Ireland? Well, we are! So I had to get a 3DS. For the long plane ride, and because there is a new Animal Crossing Game. Friday, August 23, 2013. The swirled...

fresh from the bakery: the dark crystal

http://coates-inc.blogspot.com/2014/03/the-dark-crystal.html

Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Nope, not this one. This asshole and a bunch of his smaller cronies tortured my husband for 2 weeks. It started one Sunday afternoon, in late January. Danny came running up the stairs to lay on the bed next to me, gasping for air and telling me his back hurt really bad. We thought it was a muscle spasm. I've never seen him writhe, sweat and moan in pain before. After an hour or so, he went to the bathroom and then he felt better. TMI. We went and got the bloodwork done, and col...

fresh from the bakery: May 2013

http://coates-inc.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 13, 2013. Not being picked is worse than being picked last. I posted about this on the rag-a-muffin blog, but I wanted to share on here too. Right as I finished my sign that I was going to proudly hang in my booth at Renegade, I got the email. I didn't get in. All dressed up with nowhere to go. So many brand new dolls, with brand new never before used fabrics and I even designed some new hairstyles! A dream come true for a home sewer like me. I wore my favorite red shoes to a lunch date.

fresh from the bakery: November 2013

http://coates-inc.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 18, 2013. I reallllllly wanna take a Lush bubble bath, but seeing as how we use our tub for storage, that's out of the question at the moment. I'll settle for a relaxing foot soak. PS have you smelled Rose Jam? It's heavenly, and it's limited edition. So rude, Lush. I wish they'd make their Rose Jam perfume again, I'd buy like a million bottles. I've cut out Dr Pepper again. So I'm trying Criobru, it's roasted cocoa beans. We'll see how it goes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). All that I love.

fresh from the bakery: paleo-fied, a novel

http://coates-inc.blogspot.com/2014/03/paleo-fied-novel.html

Friday, March 14, 2014. Paleo-fied, a novel. It was October, and I had just had my yearly super fun visit to the Dr. When the nurse weighed me, I almost died. I knew I had gained weight, but I was 10 pounds heavier than I thought I was! Over the summer I had been eating "heathy" and was going to the gym. I thought I was doing good, but damn, ten pounds? I also had just gone bra shopping- and had to buy a D. A D. Hint water is amaaaaaazing. My favorites are the blackberry and the watermelon. Every meal wa...

fresh from the bakery: March 2013

http://coates-inc.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 29, 2013. Sandy beaches and squatty toilets. Most people flew out the next day, but we stayed for another 2 days. Wahooo- beach day! Isn't that water gorgeous? Danny enjoying the ocean. The greatest part about vacationing near a beach is the time we spend playing in the water together. I loooove it. We need to do it more. I love floating in the water. It's so relaxing. Just hanging out, probably had an ice cold coke nearby. We saw this cute thai kitty chilling on the resort grounds. Like a ...

fresh from the bakery: July 2013

http://coates-inc.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 26, 2013. Danny's dad and his girlfriend Pam came to visit us! I found them a lovely little apartment right next to Union Square on airbnb to stay in since all we have room for is an air mattress on the floor. They wanted to escape the Utah heat which is particularly horrible in July. First up, Alcatraz. It was kind nippy that day! I was so, so glad that my camera got fixed before we went. I've missed it so much! The model of Alcatraz is pretty cool. Check out the fluffy baby seagull! My gre...

fresh from the bakery: lately...

http://coates-inc.blogspot.com/2014/01/lately.html

Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Finally getting some real progress done on the twin's baby quilts! They were born On December 18th. Little cuties, I can't wait to meet them! I made a little chihuahua for my friend Kimberly. I had to order the sashing fabric for the twins quilts, so while waiting impatiently and still feeling quite quilty, I started another quilt. Hahahaha I'm so crazy sometimes. Stenciling gold gems for a new project that you won't see for quite some time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

fresh from the bakery: lately....

http://coates-inc.blogspot.com/2014/03/lately.html

Monday, March 3, 2014. We went to a superbowl party, can you believe it? It was hosted by our friends Mary and Chris, whom we met at Jane and Visnu's wedding. So, most of the people that went to Thailand were there. It was a ton of fun to see them all. We all want to go on another trip together, since we did so well the first time around, and as strangers! Megan and Moustafa brought this apple pie, it was to die for. I almost died from the gluten after eating 2 slices, but it was worth it. So cute, right?

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. We are planning a family trip to Disney World next year. I thought it would be fun to create some excitement and use that for motivation around our house. Each day my kids can earn their Mickey Money by completing certain tasks. They'll be able to use their "money" to buy things before and during the trip. Things they can buy before the trip:. Mickey Coloring Book $3. Mouska Treats for the trip $3. I'm still thinking of ideas so if you have any, send them my way! I created a 40...
