A Slice of Pineapple

A Slice of Pineapple. Thursday, October 11, 2012. My Last Lecture: Part 2. The Things We Learn Inside and Outside of School. A Slice of Pineapple: Constant Change

http://www.sliceofpineapple.blogspot.com/2012/06/constant-change.html

A Slice of Pineapple. Monday, June 11, 2012. There's a well known saying that states that people don't like change. And, for many this is true. We get comfortable in the day to day. We enjoy our morning cup of coffee and proceed with our day just as we had the day before. It's comfortable, it feels good, and great productivity often comes out of routine. Thanks to Shaun T kicking my rear almost daily, my frame has gotten smaller and seemingly more fit. This fitness routine coupled with better eating ...

A Slice of Pineapple. Wednesday, December 21, 2011. A Slice of Pineapple. A Slice of Life. A great writer can capture every moment and every detail to such perfection that the reader can place his or herself at the scene and become a part of it. I could only hope to become such a writer. I write because I love it. However, there is one thing that gets in the way of this hope for utopia in writing.I am a perfectionist. To be completely frank, I would probably make a better editor. How does one properly in...

A Slice of Pineapple. Saturday, January 28, 2012. 2012: New year.New Challenge. The New Year is always an exciting time for me. I, like most people, take the last few weeks of December to reflect upon the year and look for healthy and positive adjustments for the upcoming twelve months. Many of us refer to these changes as our New Year’s resolutions, but I tend to refer to them as my “challenge(s) for the year”. Coming from a small town in. Wednesday, January 11, 2012. http://danulintherealworld.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Danul in The Real World. A continuing chronicle of a budding career. Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Movies No One Saw That Everyone Should See. As an out-and-proud movie snob, Ive come upon many a diamond-in-the-rough film that seemingly no one else has ever seen. Most of the movies usually were never advertised very heavily by the studios, and thus never given a chance. Others werent received warmly by critics or perhaps opened during a particularly competitive box-office weekend. Like I...

Danul in The Real World. A continuing chronicle of a budding career. Wednesday, February 22, 2012. I Don't Wanna Walk with a Crutch So Much. Without delving too much into that which you already know, based on the epidemic of Lent-related status updates, I'm gonna go 'head and remind you that today is Ash Wednesday. Fulfilling my Namesake: Claiming Victory

Fulfilling my Namesake: Claiming Victory. Wednesday, September 8, 2010. Emerging defeated from Tuesday morning, I decided to stop at the library on my way home from work. I knew the book I was going to check out: the John Updike classic of "Rabbit, Run." I remembered reading it in my freshman year of college and I felt like I could really relate to it on this particular day. Rabbits are mutating into men, and I am not Rabbit Angstrom. Slice of Pie

Sunday, August 18, 2013. I know I have been a terrible blogger as of late. I think it means it is time to move on from this space. But a quick update, before I go. Last we met, I was thinking of going to the far away clinic to give it one more fresh cycle try. Well, that didn't happen. After reviewing the cost, even with our amazing full-coverage insurance, it would have been 15-20k out of pocket. Ouch, right? And with that, our family is complete. My fertility journey is over. Its been quite the...And l...
