Mark is sinds oktober 2005 werkzaam als test consultant. Hij heeft zich breed georiënteerd en kan ingezet worden in zowel functionele als technische testrollen. Hij is goed inzetbaar in Agile en/of Lean-omgevingen aangezien hij altijd op zoek is naar verbeteringen in het (test)proces. De laatste jaren was hij verantwoordelijk voor zowel testanalyse, testuitvoering en het coördineren van ketentesten en PAT’s. Tevens heeft hij regelmatig de rol van Scrum Master ingevuld.

Pronounced Stroan-see: ON Strjonsey. Meanings for the name vary, it was suggested in the past as gain or profit island being both fertile and a good place for fishing, however the name could be related to the Old Norse "strond" beach, or even stiarna - star island, due to its shape. Although most of the island is farmland, the large headland of Rothiesholm is mostly moor, thus there is a large variety of habitat and feeding areas for wildlife. Stronsay harbour is arguably one of the safest in Orkney, having sheltered anchorages and deep water alongside the piers, the harbour is approached via a dredged channel. The school is also another main employer with about 50 pupils from nursery age to 16, the children also have the option of attending Kirkwall Grammar school from the age of 13.

This strange rainbow configuration in Mill Bay on 29th July. Common Crane over Rothiesholm 30th April. Wryneck by the roadside on 9th May. Ring Ouzel - same area as the Wryneck - 9th May. Male Red-backed Shrike mobbed by a local Blackbird 23rd May. Same bird singing next day. Female Red-backed Shrike at same site. And another at the south end of the island on 25th May. One not taken from the car - this Wood Warbler in an island garden on 11th May. But there again this one was.
