The Caffeinated Teacher: May 2016
http://www.thecaffeinatedteacher.com/2016_05_01_archive.html
Loving life with a Diet Coke! Thursday, May 26, 2016. Okay, I totally. Stole that title from our summer school program.but teachers are known for begging, borrowing and stealing.right? I'll be home for a week after that and we're hopping in a car and heading to Florida for a week at Disney World (yes, during the hottest month of the year because we're crazy). I get to spend my birthday with Mickey Mouse :). Sunday, May 22, 2016. Why can't the US get it together to be more like them (specifically by diali...

I'm happy I have these friends this year! Sunday, September 18, 2016. Guided Math (Third Grade Version). We are using what I have dubbed " The Georgia Units. So I checked out th...

http://www.thecaffeinatedteacher.com/2016/10/fun-in-3rd-grade.html
Loving life with a Diet Coke! Friday, October 14, 2016. Fun in 3rd Grade. I am all about rewarding my students for working so hard all week. For the last five years I have been pretty successful at keeping my Fridays pretty darn epic. This year is no exception. Our Fridays look something like this:. Arrrival tasks (pledge/morning work). Computer Lab (weekly test). Center a href="http:/ thecaffei...

Look at my happy rainbow! My journey as a male kindergarten teacher. All sprout's names have been changed to protect the (truly) innocent. Today as we walked outside for recess, David grabbed my hand. This isn’t unusual for him… as we walked to the hill, he looked up at me and said, “You know what Mr. , you and I have a lot in common.”. 8221; I said, taking the bait. 8220;Well, first of all, we are both smart,” he began. 8220;Very true,” I agreed. 8220;Secondly, we both love to write,” he continued.

Look at my happy rainbow! My journey as a male kindergarten teacher. All sprout's names have been changed to protect the (truly) innocent. Well the power of the Royal Wedding is supreme. It managed to infiltrate the walls of my kindergarten class yesterday… no doubt due to the fact that while all my little sprouts were getting ready for school they’re parents were glued to the nuptials. Posted by Mr. Halpern. Links to this post. When they left and we shared some of the stories they’d heard, the det...

Just Add Coffee
Random thoughts from a caffeine infused mind. Thursday, May 31, 2012. Recently I rediscovered the joy of something I made years ago. I bought a undecorated pencil cup, painted the bottom and then covered it with paper that I had stamped. I added a preprinted tag, brad and ribbon to finish it off. All the paper and stamps are from Club Scrap's Bistro Kit. Sunday, April 29, 2012. My First Digi Attempt. Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Another year, another blog post. Friday, May 13, 2011. Giving an edge to your thoughts about love and society…. December 20, 2016. December 20, 2016. A thousand of strings are held back together to form a piece of cloth, a cloth to hide bruises and cuts. But only one stroke of scissors is enough to fragment them into bits. The cloth which is strong enough to hide injuries is also weak enough to get shattered the next moment. It’s simply human 😉. Loving life with a Diet Coke! Monday, August 10, 2015. We had my birthday celebration last night so that The Husband didn't have to fuss trying to come home and get everything ready after a long day at work.especially since I'm spending a good portion of my day pampering myself. Seemed only fair to let him off the hook a bit :). The bubble bee screen is the 2nd monitor.note how it totally dwarfs the actual computer! Thursday, July 30, 2015. My Journey Back in Time. That was something else. Not only was I watching, so were our Rebbes. If to my tired human eyes, this was so obvious, I'm sure it was even more beautiful from where they can see us. I'm sure that we all had slightly different experiences because we are all slightly different. The thought weighed on me quite seriously. How will I make sure this trip changed me? When I get home will things be different? Is it a possibility that my prayers were answered?

Saturday, February 23, 2013. January 12, 2013. Daryn had some great things brewing in the job arena, and after a lot of hard work wanted to celebrate with a nice dinner. We had 5:30 dinner reservations (insert Buckeye Card or Early Bird Special pun) at Lolita in Tremont. Initially, I thought this was odd as Lolita was our anniversary spot. Daryn and I had our first one-on-one date here September 17. Now, this is where I make a point of telling you about his weird floss habits. Nearing the top step I star...

The Caffeinated Yogi – Yoga, Running, and Coffee
Yoga, Running, and Coffee. Actually Starting the Yoga Challenge This Time. August 23, 2016. August 23, 2016. No yoga today, but I finally got a gym membership! I ran a mile at a 10 minute pace to warm up, did some strength training, biked for a few minutes, and then tried a barre class. I think barre is a keeper, although I might be waddling more than walking tomorrow. My activity tracker didn’t like the class. I apparently didn’t move my arms enough. August 22, 2016.
