The Peak Condition Project - Maki

Tuesday, December 9, 2008. We had a lovely dinner at D’epice yesterday evening. Thank you! Although Patrick was rather surprised with our “healthier” choice of venue it was a perfect ending and a new start – although I must confess I probably had a glass too many! Thank you Jodi for taking the kiddos and of course your support throughout! Will try and update my new life post pcp but at the moment, I am happy to have completed the program. Thanks again Corry, Patrick and Chen! Here are a few images I took...

The Peak Condition Project - Maki: November 2008

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-maki.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, November 27, 2008. 9 more days to go. Anyway, better get back to my exercises - see, I'm procrastinating again! PS I never thought I'd be whipped by my own hair while skipping. Let me tell you, it hurts! By the way, the pain few days ago is fading quickly so I must have overdone the exercises. Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Oooh, in pain. 160; My body fat percentage went down by a percent too! Saturday, November 22, 2008. Wednesday, November 19, 2008. I decided to treat myself to a pair of jeans a...

The Peak Condition Project - Maki: Day 90 – Officially finished

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-maki.blogspot.com/2008/12/day-90-officially-finished.html

Saturday, December 6, 2008. Day 90 – Officially finished. I just finished doing my exercises and skipping which means I have completed PCP! I went back to Day 9 exercises and completed them within 20 minutes. I did get a good workout but obviously didn’t feel the “burn” as much as recent days due to the lower number of reps. But that means, my muscles has toned right? I am more than thrilled. Thank you all for your support and reading my rather dull blog! December 7, 2008 at 5:41 AM. PCP - Hama Mamas.

The Peak Condition Project - Maki: Day 89

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-maki.blogspot.com/2008/12/day-89.html

Saturday, December 6, 2008. Finished skipping and exercises just before midnight. It was tough but I am happy that I finished them. My arms feel as though they are twice the size though! Starting from 0, who would have thought that I would be skipping over 2000 skips without having have to catch my breath? Me doing push ups and sit ups? It just seems like yesterday that I asked my husband to explain how to do them properly. He could not believe how pathetic my muscles were! PCP - Hama Mamas.

The Peak Condition Project - Maki: October 2008

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-maki.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 31, 2008. Talk about sugar high. Not me, thank goodness but my Super Girl. She was so giddy after having those Halloween candy after Trick or Treating this evening. it took her an extra 1.5hrs to fall asleep. Hence, my workout starting now. again. ugh. I haven't done the diet down to a T any day this week. November will be better. promising myself. I want to make this month count. Starting jumping as of now. Off to bed. I think I'm tired. :) Happy Halloween everyone! I'm quite proud to sa...

The Peak Condition Project - Maki: Two more days to go

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-maki.blogspot.com/2008/12/two-more-days-to-go.html

Thursday, December 4, 2008. Two more days to go. Life is HECTIC at the moment. There are just too many things on the list and I feel as though I am going in circles without accomplishing anything! Anyway, I just finished my jumping and exercises. Wow, these few days have been a killer – and I am dreading tomorrow’s program already. It’s in such tiny print! And doing them together was a joy! It is so satisfying and a stress buster too! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). PCP - Hama Mamas.

The Peak Condition Project - Munisha: Countdown thoughts - #3 - INDULGENCE TIME!

http://thepeakconditionproject-munisha.blogspot.com/2008/12/countdown-thoughts-3-indulgence-time.html

Thursday, December 4, 2008. Countdown thoughts - #3 - INDULGENCE TIME! The only negative about indulging was picking my item to indulge in! 160;I always wanted to pick the perfect thing.  Not such a bad problem.and with each indulgence, I got quicker at picking.probably because I was so in need of one.  Can't wait for my first post-PCP indulgence - 90 days in.I know I deserve it! Only 2 more days to go. That was the most fun I have had being lost in a long time and I get lost a lot. Thanks.

The Peak Condition Project - Munisha: Countdown thoughts #2 - Cheating

http://thepeakconditionproject-munisha.blogspot.com/2008/12/countdown-thoughts-2-cheating.html

Friday, December 5, 2008. Countdown thoughts #2 - Cheating. This is it.the day before the last day! Last day of exercises in our book.wow.what a killer workout! I had to stop in the middle to take care of the baby, but was able to finish of before bed. So, yes, you can cheat and eat the wrong foods and skip the exercises, but is it really worth it? Are you getting away with something.NO.you're just cheating yourself! Not worth the guilt and, hey, 90 days is only 3 months. Tomorrow is the LAST DAY!

The Peak Condition Project - Patrick Reynolds: Day 122, Admitting Defeat

http://peakconditionproject.blogspot.com/2008/07/day-122-admitting-defeat.html

Sunday, July 20, 2008. Day 122, Admitting Defeat. Man, I just can't get these box splits. I've still got two inches to go and that's not going to be made up in the next three days, so I'm going to admit defeat right here. Sadly, I will not be doing this before the end of my Peak Condition Project. But I also enjoy the challenge and tonight I ordered a new book. About how to work with your nervous system to get the most out of your stretches. Here are some of the highlights from the table of contents:.

The Peak Condition Project - Patrick Reynolds: Day 117, Remember Day 47?

http://peakconditionproject.blogspot.com/2008/07/day-117-remember-day-47.html

Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Day 117, Remember Day 47? That was a long time ago, 70 days to be exact. It was just after I had lost 11 pounds of fat. One of the unexpected side-effects was that I was freezing my ass off. I hadn't realized how much extra warmth that layer of fat provided. Here's a cross section showing the subcutaneous fat layer undeneath the dermis. You see how it's all spongy and bubbly? Remind you of anything? ThePeakConditionProject (at) gmail.com. The Peak Condition Project - Patrick Reynolds: Day 113, Obesity

http://peakconditionproject.blogspot.com/2008/07/day-113-obesity.html

Friday, July 11, 2008. Day 113, Obesity. I like the online magazine Slate and usually cruise over there once a day to see if they've got any interesting articles running. Well tonight this is what I saw. (Click the pic to go to the story). With all the good things I've heard about WALL-E I was surprised by the headline, (which was of course the point) and as obesity and the environment are two things which really interest me, I dove right into the article even though I haven't seen the movie. Drink "cupc...

The Peak Condition Project - Patrick Reynolds: Day 118, There Was a Star Inside Me the Whole Time!

http://peakconditionproject.blogspot.com/2008/07/day-118-there-was-star-inside-me-whole.html

Wednesday, July 16, 2008. Day 118, There Was a Star Inside Me the Whole Time! All of the PCPers and I have been going on for weeks and weeks about how different we feel eating right, getting stronger, and learning how our bodies work. This project is definitely one of discovery. Some of the discoveries are just plain neato, and I've been meaning to share this one with you ever since I noticed it a few months ago after I lost all that weight. Can you see it? Starburst cartilage on chest? Anyway, I'm going...

The Peak Condition Project - Patrick Reynolds: Day 78, What's In the Box?

http://peakconditionproject.blogspot.com/2008/06/day-78-whats-in-box.html

Friday, June 6, 2008. Day 78, What's In the Box? Today Kazue gave me a mysterious box with a "Peak Condition Project" tag. Inside, it read, "Do not open until July 23rd." (The day the project ends). I've always been terrible at waiting to open presents (if it is indeed a present) especially if I have to look at the thing for a month and a half. So I thought I'd open this up to the general public to make the waiting more interesting. I'll get things started with my own comment below. A new set of nunchaku!

The Peak Condition Project - Patrick Reynolds: Day 125, Finished.

http://peakconditionproject.blogspot.com/2008/07/day-125-finished.html

Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Day 125, Finished. This is going to be a long and in-depth post, so by all means, save reading it for an hour when you can settle in and mindfully enjoy the time it takes). About a year ago, around the time I was turning 28, this video was featured on YouTube. I smiled and laughed a little but inside I was thinking, "Dude, that's exactly how I. We are living, rather than how long. The Origins of the PCP. What exercises did I need to do? Now I needed some kind of social structure...

The Peak Condition Project - Patrick Reynolds: Day 114, Immense Satisfaction

http://peakconditionproject.blogspot.com/2008/07/day-114-immense-satisfaction.html

Saturday, July 12, 2008. Day 114, Immense Satisfaction. The thing about The Peak Condition Project is that when you're up you're up. I felt strong as an ox today, and just as endurant. Taught 4 yoga classes, did my box splits, and after all that went to the gym with Chen to do hanging sit-ups using that gym's parallel bars. Post using Drunken Master. by the way the gym said we had to stop doing those because it looks like you're going to break your neck and I guess it freaked them out too much). So me an...

The Peak Condition Project - Patrick Reynolds: Day 123, I Know This Great Little Bar...

http://peakconditionproject.blogspot.com/2008/07/day-123-perfect-bar.html

Monday, July 21, 2008. Day 123, I Know This Great Little Bar. I can't believe this! As you remember, on Day 83. I detailed my efforts to find a suitable chin up bar around the Yokohama metropolitan area. The one I found was ok, but it was always populated by kids giving me a hard time, which is cute for, oh, about 45 seconds. So recently I've been going to a community gym to use their bar set up, which is really out of my way and which I have to pay money to access. First is lifting the legs up to touch ...

Tuesday, April 14, 2009. The fat lady has sung! I can't beleive that I'm done. It's finished.unbeleivable! This truly is only the beginning, but a great one that have taught me so much about myself, and my habits, and about what works and what definitly doesn't work, and my biggest lesson has been this one:. Where there's a will, there's a way! Just beleive that you can do it, you can change and jump in with all you've got! Monday, April 6, 2009. Observation in the gym! So move over people, here I come!

The Peak Condition Project - Lili

Friday, April 16, 2010. There is so much to say about an experience so intense as this one of going through a PCP. I decided that a good way to write about the different aspects of this adventure would be as an "interview" with questions I have asked myself and questions my friends have asked me. Why did I sign up for PCP in the first place? What were my PCP goals? First, to go through a test. I needed some discipline to shake up my anarchic lifestyle. Which goals did I achieve? I'm close to my physical ...

Wednesday, July 20, 2011. So this post is a week late. I hate to be this far behind. I had an incident that left me with a slight concission and a huge knot on my head and the rest of the week out of the office (unPCP related). Anyway, well on the road to recovery and started working out again on Monday. I am very thankful for all the support of my great group and friends that were past PCP and non PCP people and especially Patrick! Sunday, July 10, 2011. Monday, July 4, 2011. But Jose and I already wishing we could build a time machine to go back to last weekend; it was just the most fun EVER. Before I forget to add this later on; I don’t know HOW I would have made it. Tuesday, July 5, 2011. Were very close on the finish line and not feeling that good. Exercise time is really long and having all that time has been hard. Also in Colombia this week was a long weekend which makes ir easier for me to cheat on the diet (specially with drinks! Until now, Im feeling that the PCP has taught me self control. Now I can eat aware of what food cad do to my body and exercise too. Saturday, June 11, 2011. After being really disciplined with the PCP, last days have been tough! Again ...

Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Woke up at 4:00. Update last weeks blog. Then picked up day 5 exercise and did it quickly. Took some day 90 photos. Today's weight was 56.6 kg. Lost 8 kg, from 65 kg to 57 kg. It is funny to see the change in the comparison photo. Maybe not so surprising but according to the result of the blood test I got a lot healthier than before. As far as I remember this was the first time I got the normal numbers for the liver functions test. Monday, August 29, 2011. Woke up at 6:00....

At the moment im also without internet. As of said before , im very happy with the results I have seen so far, and I know they would have been even more if I had been able to stick to it theese last weeks. Thursday, March 25, 2010. Day 70: Jacked up. My shoulder is jacked up. That workout from day 63 was the final straw for it. It's been unworkable since then. I can do my cardio and my legs, but anything involving the arms is a no-go. It sucks, it pisses me off, but I pushed to keep up when I should've been taking it easier, and now I have to rest it for an extended period. (Swell.). I don't have anything else to add at this point- just frustrated. Upset. Sore. Thursday, March 18, 2010. I lose mine when we...

Monday, May 30, 2011. Well, everything I wanted to say on my final blog I've already said over the course of the last 90 days - the ups, the downs and the un-mentionables. Only thing that remains to be said is a BIG thank you to all for your enthusiasm and encouragement.
