The Peak Condition Project - Nathaly and Ramiro

Tuesday, November 16, 2010. 2 weeks post-project, Nathaly: Maintaining. I did a weigh-in this morning, about 2 weeks after the end of the program and am proud to report that I haven't gained back any weight despite definitely getting off the bandwagon in every way! Not proud about the latter half of that sentence. lol). I'm having tea for snack and opting away from cheese (about half of the time, that is.) and consistently doing half portions of dessert-y type things. Wednesday, November 3, 2010. This wh...

Its been a hell of a ride and I'd like to thank Kim and Stu for being such exemplary teammates. Obvious shout out to Guru Patrick, you have my gratitude sir. November 5, 2010 at 10:32 AM. I felt I looked my fittest before day 90, too. I think it was somewhere in the 60s perhaps. Anyway, great job! See you on Xbox?

The Peak Condition Project - Kim: Day Seventy-Five: Losing Steam

http://thepeakconditionproject-kim.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-seventy-five-losing-steam.html

Thursday, October 14, 2010. Day Seventy-Five: Losing Steam. Well, guys, I'm losing a little steam over here. Part of it is not enough sleep three nights in a row. Part of it is this: I'm starting to accept that I won't be perfect at the end of this thing. I know: it's a journey. No one's ever perfect. These are the tools, blah, blah. And that's all fine. When I'm an adult, which is most of the time, they're enough. Back on the subject of planks, I just don't get them. My shoulders and back hurt like ...

http://thepeakconditionproject-kim.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-eighty-six-end-euphoria.html

Monday, October 25, 2010. Day Eighty-Six: End Euphoria. I know we're not there yet, I know the toughest workouts lie ahead, I know that afterward there will be lots of challenges to meet. But for right now, I'm high on the idea that there are only three more serious workouts to go, and then I can rest a little. First, I am the captain of a team of eight signed up for this. October 25, 2010 at 9:11 AM. Plus, I think youll love being able to engage your whole PCP-ified self in a new challenge. I totally ad...

http://thepeakconditionproject-stu.blogspot.com/2010/10/family-reunion-of-sorts.html

Friday, October 22, 2010. Family reunion of sorts. I just had an egg explode while I was cooking it hard boiled style- weird. Oh yeah, thanks for all the chest hair suggestions. I don't think I would have ever gone through with it in the first place. With this mop on top of my head I would look hilarious without chest hair, as if I were photoshopped or something. Monday, November 1, 2010. Final Post- I Am A Niking. What is a niking you ask? Probably more like a viking out of training. Now after some training I'm closer too it:. Now that's more like it. Although I don't wear the thing outside in the public I think it's pretty funny. Fine, great, grand, wonderful, I will take the new moniker and walk into the streets of Chicago everyday in my black garments and help the common people to the best of my abilities:. The Peak Condition Project - Kim: Day Eighty-Nine: Almost There

http://thepeakconditionproject-kim.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-eighty-nine-almost-there.html

Thursday, October 28, 2010. Day Eighty-Nine: Almost There. I celebrated the almost end of the project by going out to watch other people eat Korean barbecue. Sigh. It doesn't actually sting any more, but it's still not really my favorite activity. During the meal, I kept trying to figure out how much I'd be eating and of what. I certainly would have ordered quite a few more vegetable dishes. Hooray for educated taste buds! October 28, 2010 at 1:26 PM. October 28, 2010 at 7:49 PM. Day Seventy-Seven: Thank...

http://thepeakconditionproject-kim.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-eighty-seven-with-little-help.html

Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Day Eighty-Seven: With A Little Help. One of the interesting things on these blogs is how few of us talk much about the support we get from friends. We do tend to talk about our family members, but not so much the friends. I have to say that mine have been instrumental. They've encouraged me, they've listened to me whine, and one of them even cooked a PCP-positive meal for me and offered to do it again (bliss). I'm a Tsim Chai Kee partisan. Love those giant fish balls,. The Pea...

The Peak Condition Project - Kim: The End: An Interpretation

http://thepeakconditionproject-kim.blogspot.com/2010/10/end-interpretation.html

Saturday, October 30, 2010. The End: An Interpretation. I've loved all the wrap-up posts that have gone before, but as I hit the end of my personal PCP and tried to think of what to say, the whole idea suddenly became absurd. Still processing what it's meant, what will happen going forward. But the end of these 90 days must be marked, and perhaps the act of trying to do a wrap up will produce something worthwhile. Workouts At Night: 3. Days Off Grams: 4, due to vacation. Clothing Sizes Dropped: 3. A piec...

The Peak Condition Project - Kim: Day Sixty-Two: Guest Post

http://thepeakconditionproject-kim.blogspot.com/2010/10/day-sixty-two-guest-post.html

Friday, October 1, 2010. Day Sixty-Two: Guest Post. A friend of ours has been staying with us off and on for nearly my whole project. He's using our apartment as a base for exploring East Asia from mid-August to mid-November. When he first arrived, I was in week two of the diet, about where the newest class is now. I asked what I should blog about tonight and he offered this comment:. In workout news, I think it's a terrible mistake to put bicycles and planks on the same day- WTF? October 4, 2010 at 10:4...

Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Day One: Is This Thing On? Hi, everyone. It's just before 7 am on August 1, and I'm excited, and nervous, and generally enjoying the stew of emotions that come with a new project. I'm also procrastinating on sending the Week One photo, and the stats. My current non-peak shape is on display every time I leave the apartment, but baldly stating- see? Look how bad it's gotten! And then sharing it with very nice strangers is so unpleasant. (You are all. Very nice, right?

Sunday, August 29, 2010. Workout @ Patrick's studio. I didn't know about Day 90 workout menu. I didn't receive the email before I leave home so I know nothing about it. Ah how far I came in 90 days! How much strength I gain! Looking back the first week, I was so out of breath by jumping just 300 or so. I got sore muscles from only 4 sets of squats. I would like to thank my friend Yukiko for recommending this program to me in May. If I didn't start in June, I wasn't here now. My old pants are too big now.

Friday, January 1, 2010. Some final day photos of me on a beach in Kerala. Actually these photos were taken on my birthday on 17th December. What an amazing holiday it was and made all the better for knowing I was in peak health! Being in India it's always best for women to respect the local custom and dress modestly, even on the beach, hence the lack on bikini here, so sorry, no abs shots! A very cool moment! 14 April, 2010. We made it through and I'm happy, relieved and slightly depressed at the same time, but only because I now have to keep this up on my own. I went back and did the Day 6 exercises and I completed them in 20 mins and was raring to go for more. When I think back to struggling with the pressups and how the skipping rope tangled in my feet every few seconds, it is a great and wonderful difference. I'll post a couple of pictures over the next few days. Great to have done it! 06 April, 2010.

Friday, April 15, 2011. Day 90 - The End of the Beginning. Okay, before being more prosaic, will bung up the stats for a bit of colour. The numbers speak for themselves, and can't say fairer than that. As they say in football "if you had offered me that result before the game started, I would have snapped your hand off. I am not looking forward to finishing the PCP. I am afraid of gaining back the weight I have lost and falling back into old habits. I feel very healthy and energetic and yes I enjoy the workouts now.
