The Peak Condition Project - Naoko

Sunday, August 29, 2010. Workout @ Patrick's studio. I didn't know about Day 90 workout menu. I didn't receive the email before I leave home so I know nothing about it. Ah how far I came in 90 days! How much strength I gain! Looking back the first week, I was so out of breath by jumping just 300 or so. I got sore muscles from only 4 sets of squats. I would like to thank my friend Yukiko for recommending this program to me in May. If I didn't start in June, I wasn't here now. My old pants are too big now.

The Peak Condition Project - Naoko: Day 82 My fridge

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-naoko.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-82.html

Friday, August 20, 2010. Day 82 My fridge. Look at Milk carton, cottage cheese (next to cherry tomatoes ), yogurt ( behind a bell pepper ) are so small in Japan! August 21, 2010 at 2:01 AM. Do you shop at OK? August 21, 2010 at 3:47 AM. I shop at local supermarket. I hear OK is less expensive. Do they have larger size milk/yogurt? August 21, 2010 at 11:01 AM. Nah, just looks like the same stuff as OK. The vegetables there are the cheapest in town though. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Day 82 part 2.

The Peak Condition Project - Naoko: Day80

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-naoko.blogspot.com/2010/08/day80.html

Thursday, August 19, 2010. I overslept this morning. I have to wake up at 5:00 but I woke up at 5:40. This morning I met my tutor group. Gr.9 students, freshmen at High School. A lot to cover in 1 hour 40 minutes. Hand out schedules, permission slips, go over school rules, regulations, expectations, etc. I kept talking non stop. By lunch time I used all my energy for today. I did my grocery shopping on my way home, when I got home I started steaming veggies. I was not enthusiastic about workout today.

The Peak Condition Project - Naoko: Day88

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-naoko.blogspot.com/2010/08/day88.html

Friday, August 27, 2010. I checked the fitness studio near my house. This place is only for women. I think the target customer is house wives. The lady at the studio explained that what they are doing is called circuit training. There were about 10 machines and between machines are maybe 90cm x 90cm board for cardiovascular exercises. Machines are not the kind of heavy duty ones at the gym. They are oil pressure machine so that they are safe. That was the explanation I got. I came home I did my workout.

The Peak Condition Project - Naoko: Day 81

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-naoko.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-81.html

Friday, August 20, 2010. First week is done. I taught 3 double ( 90 min ) classes today. I'm exhausted. I took a nap before workout. Again I kept saying "I want to quit."during the workout. Yes Tara, it's lake Mantra. I have to say it to get me going. I was angry that Jumping takes 21 min without rest time and the workout altogether takes 1 hour. I want to sleep, sleep, sleep. I wanted to take my dog for a walk, have a beer and a pizza at the beach in stead of workout. Go to bed before 9:00 pm. The Peak ...

The Peak Condition Project - Naoko: Day 79

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-naoko.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-79.html

Wednesday, August 18, 2010. At the staff meeting there were free beer, wine, soft drinks. So much food at 3:30 pm. I had some veggies and a kabob. I couldn't eat all the bread for my lunch and I wasn't really hungry. I don't know why I had a kabob. Free food is dangerous. I can resist cakes and cookies now. I was tired from last night so that I took nap after I got home. It was real challenge for me to do today's workout. I was really tired. But I did. I'd better go to bed. August 18, 2010 at 7:38 AM.

The Peak Condition Project -Kowhai: August 2010

http://thepeakconditionproject-kowhai.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 29, 2010. The end, or the beginning! Ok so, I chose the day 1 workout yesterday! Ah, it made my partner and I laugh. I have come a long way from day 1! I cant believe it has been 90 days! This has been an emotional and tough journey, but so so rewarding. Night I could not understand how anyone. Could go without ever eating takeaways. they were such a huge part of my diet that i just couldnt really get it. If i was tired, couldnt be bothered cooking, or felt unwell. An important thing that ...

The Peak Condition Project - Tara: Day 89: A Swirl of Emotions

http://thepeakconditionproject-tara.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-89-swirl-of-emotions.html

Saturday, August 28, 2010. Day 89: A Swirl of Emotions. Several things are coming together this weekend to make me a little bit emotional. The PCP is ending, I have a big writing deadline Monday morning, my in-laws are visiting, I'm about to start my period - there's a lot at once. But somehow I'm not freaking out. I'm just doing what I need to do and taking it one step at a time. You are really strong! I was so proud that I made that workout my BITCH. August 29, 2010 at 12:31 AM. August 29, 2010 at 9:13...

The Peak Condition Project - Royce: Making a bullet

http://thepeakconditionproject-royce.blogspot.com/2010/08/making-bullet.html

Friday, August 27, 2010. Boom Boom Boom dears. Laying on floor in temple. Not overthrown with energy and drive and unlimited creation like i imagined living above my comic store would feel. Temple feels nice, eerie, but not VIBRATING WITH ENERGY of the sun like it should be. Then it hit me. This place has had many many occupants and everynight it has to watch VERY LOUD gays fight in drunken slurrys outside.WHY WOULD it be vibrating. So I'm making a bullet to kill it/reboot it. PHOENIX BULLET! The bullet ...

The Peak Condition Project - Deborah: The Third Indulgence

http://thepeakconditionproject-deborah.blogspot.com/2010/08/third-indulgence.html

Monday, August 16, 2010. My son ordered a large pizza last night. Feta and garlic and sundried tomatoes. And cheese. Before PCP my major protein was cheese. So I indulged. I ate 2 huge slices. Yum. Very salty. Feta is salty. It was good. What can I say. I also had a couple of slices of cheese at the after church "treat" table. The other choices there were brownies and coffee cake. Will I go back to it? Maybe in moderation. But I much prefer the way lean meat and fish makes me feel. So glad youve really i...

Thats a long ass plank! August 25, 2010 at 8:18 AM. I bow to your core strength. August 25, 2010 at 8:37 AM. My god. Thats incredible. You go pink lady! August 25, 2010 at 9:14 AM. The Peak Condition Project - Deborah: August 2010

http://thepeakconditionproject-deborah.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 30, 2010. This program has brought me back to myself. Through a combination of common sense diet, simple (and hard) exercise, and the support of incredible people who live around the world, I was able to make decisions that lead me back to life. Look at this elegant babe:. Naoko, my sweet age mate. Royce, shooting star blazing and gone. Elena, elegant striving New Yorker. Jenny, honest, beautiful yearning young woman. Kowhai, down under loyal, plain speaking achiever. To strive for the Peak.

The Peak Condition Project -Kowhai: Day 68

http://thepeakconditionproject-kowhai.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-68.html

Saturday, August 7, 2010. Jump rope for 5mins is so much easier now, ive figured out switching between feet kinda thing makes it way easier to keep going the whole time. so jump ropes are going really good. I have to substitute other leg exercises for the pistol squats and creeps - my knee is bung again. it got better then i attemped pistol squats and it bunged up again. bugger. I had macas for tea last night - just a garden salad tho! Under my armpits and my shoulders are sore - must be workin them good.

The Peak Condition Project - Elena: Final Indulgence: Ultimate Fail!

http://thepeakconditionproject-elena.blogspot.com/2010/08/final-indulgence-ultimate-fail.html

Sunday, August 15, 2010. Final Indulgence: Ultimate Fail! In Jenny's post about her final indulgence she mentioned she thought at one point she might explode. Well, to put it as succinctly as possible: I exploded. (not in a good way.). We did have wine and cheese picnic - that was lovely and fun! Instead, I ate a lot of the [really not very good] tortilla chips, 1 pork soft taco (bland and greasy), a few bites of rice and beans (greasy), and 2 beef fajitas (beef and veggies SWIMMING in oil). UGGGGG&#...

The Peak Condition Project - Elena: Day 70, The Pink Lady vs. Schlump Girl

Monday, August 9, 2010. Day 70, The Pink Lady vs. Schlump Girl. Anyway, here goes. Deep in the concrete jungle there lives a ferocious demon, though innocent she may seem. Her name? SCHLUMP GIRL, circa 2008. Notice how SCHLUMP GIRL has weak shoulders, flubby arms and big boobs. She drinks a lot, and eats greasy food, and craves salt and sugar all the time. She also makes bad dating decisions, hangs out with random people who aren't truly her friends, and once she ate tortilla chips dipped in. So I feel l...

Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Well, we're 13 days past the 1 year anniversary of me starting the Peak Condition Project. My life would be so much different now without it. Although I have to say, life can really get in the way of the road to peak condition, and a felled tree of that size can be a mighty pain to move. Thursday, July 22, 2010. Friday, January 1, 2010. Some final day photos of me on a beach in Kerala. Actually these photos were taken on my birthday on 17th December. What an amazing holiday it was and made all the better for knowing I was in peak health! Being in India it's always best for women to respect the local custom and dress modestly, even on the beach, hence the lack on bikini here, so sorry, no abs shots! A very cool moment! The Peak Condition Project - Nicholas

14 April, 2010. We made it through and I'm happy, relieved and slightly depressed at the same time, but only because I now have to keep this up on my own. I went back and did the Day 6 exercises and I completed them in 20 mins and was raring to go for more. When I think back to struggling with the pressups and how the skipping rope tangled in my feet every few seconds, it is a great and wonderful difference. I'll post a couple of pictures over the next few days. Great to have done it! 06 April, 2010.
