The Peak Condition Project - Elena: Day 70, The Pink Lady vs. Schlump Girl

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-elena.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-70-pink-lady-vs-schlump-girl.html

Monday, August 9, 2010. Day 70, The Pink Lady vs. Schlump Girl. Anyway, here goes. Deep in the concrete jungle there lives a ferocious demon, though innocent she may seem. Her name? SCHLUMP GIRL, circa 2008. Notice how SCHLUMP GIRL has weak shoulders, flubby arms and big boobs. She drinks a lot, and eats greasy food, and craves salt and sugar all the time. She also makes bad dating decisions, hangs out with random people who aren't truly her friends, and once she ate tortilla chips dipped in. So I feel l...

The Peak Condition Project - Elena: Day 86, Hey-Yoooo!

Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Day 86, Hey-Yoooo! 1st Plank today: 2 min, 46 seconds. Of course the subsequent 4 were total shit-shows, but I was excited about #1! August 25, 2010 at 6:26 AM. Thats a long ass plank! August 25, 2010 at 8:18 AM. I bow to your core strength. August 25, 2010 at 8:37 AM. My god. Thats incredible. You go pink lady! August 25, 2010 at 9:14 AM. Omg, is that even human? August 25, 2010 at 12:12 PM. Thats the Pink Lady taking over! August 25, 2010 at 1:28 PM. Bring it, lady! Almost D...

The Peak Condition Project - Elena: Day 90, HOLY SHIIIIZ! Woot wooooot!

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-elena.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-90-holy-shiiiiz-woot-wooooot.html

Sunday, August 29, 2010. Day 90, HOLY SHIIIIZ! Ok ok so I want to take a couple days to reflect and organize my thoughts for my final post (also, this way I can extend the final goodbye a little bit! But for now know this:. I'm so happy to have gone thru this process. When we began this project, 90 days ago, I remember my final decision making thought was something like, 90 days is going to fly by either way, so either I'm ripped and healthy at the end, or I'm schlubby and unsatisfied. Damn, Elena. M...

The Peak Condition Project - Elena: Day 85, Pink Lady vs. Schlump Girl - an interesting truce

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-elena.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-85-pink-lady-vs-schlump-girl.html

Monday, August 23, 2010. Day 85, Pink Lady vs. Schlump Girl - an interesting truce. Ok ok ok so I'm going to use the words "unlawful" and "indulgence" in this post. I'm just preparing you all for that. But don't freak out and call this round for Schlump Girl just yet - The Pink Lady has triumphed in a new way tonight, people! Read on to find out how! Before a full report, I want to offer up some 'then' and 'now' definitions to those words. Now stepping away from the dark world of Schlump Girl, we have th...

The Peak Condition Project - Elena: Final Indulgence: Ultimate Fail!

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-elena.blogspot.com/2010/08/final-indulgence-ultimate-fail.html

Sunday, August 15, 2010. Final Indulgence: Ultimate Fail! In Jenny's post about her final indulgence she mentioned she thought at one point she might explode. Well, to put it as succinctly as possible: I exploded. (not in a good way.). We did have wine and cheese picnic - that was lovely and fun! Instead, I ate a lot of the [really not very good] tortilla chips, 1 pork soft taco (bland and greasy), a few bites of rice and beans (greasy), and 2 beef fajitas (beef and veggies SWIMMING in oil). UGGGGG&#...

The Peak Condition Project -Kowhai: August 2010

http://thepeakconditionproject-kowhai.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 29, 2010. The end, or the beginning! Ok so, I chose the day 1 workout yesterday! Ah, it made my partner and I laugh. I have come a long way from day 1! I cant believe it has been 90 days! This has been an emotional and tough journey, but so so rewarding. Night I could not understand how anyone. Could go without ever eating takeaways. they were such a huge part of my diet that i just couldnt really get it. If i was tired, couldnt be bothered cooking, or felt unwell. An important thing that ...

The Peak Condition Project - Naoko: Day 74

http://thepeakconditionproject-naoko.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-74.html

Friday, August 13, 2010. Forward shoulder raise and shoulder fly were so hard. Chicken wing was OK. My shoulders are sore. I tried "keep a little space between the back of the knee and your calf to make the Creep a real killer.". After 2 steps, I gave up. Well I shouldn't give up but I was afraid that I will not be able to walk normally afterwards. It is OBON week in Japan. Many people take summer vacation this time of the year. It is crowded everywhere. Am I going to spend lonely old days? I loved that ...

The Peak Condition Project - Naoko: August 2010

http://thepeakconditionproject-naoko.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 29, 2010. Workout @ Patrick's studio. I didn't know about Day 90 workout menu. I didn't receive the email before I leave home so I know nothing about it. Ah how far I came in 90 days! How much strength I gain! Looking back the first week, I was so out of breath by jumping just 300 or so. I got sore muscles from only 4 sets of squats. I would like to thank my friend Yukiko for recommending this program to me in May. If I didn't start in June, I wasn't here now. My old pants are too big now.

The Peak Condition Project - Tara: Day 89: A Swirl of Emotions

http://thepeakconditionproject-tara.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-89-swirl-of-emotions.html

Saturday, August 28, 2010. Day 89: A Swirl of Emotions. Several things are coming together this weekend to make me a little bit emotional. The PCP is ending, I have a big writing deadline Monday morning, my in-laws are visiting, I'm about to start my period - there's a lot at once. But somehow I'm not freaking out. I'm just doing what I need to do and taking it one step at a time. You are really strong! I was so proud that I made that workout my BITCH. August 29, 2010 at 12:31 AM. August 29, 2010 at 9:13...

The Peak Condition Project - Royce: Making a bullet

http://thepeakconditionproject-royce.blogspot.com/2010/08/making-bullet.html

Friday, August 27, 2010. Boom Boom Boom dears. Laying on floor in temple. Not overthrown with energy and drive and unlimited creation like i imagined living above my comic store would feel. Temple feels nice, eerie, but not VIBRATING WITH ENERGY of the sun like it should be. Then it hit me. This place has had many many occupants and everynight it has to watch VERY LOUD gays fight in drunken slurrys outside.WHY WOULD it be vibrating. So I'm making a bullet to kill it/reboot it. PHOENIX BULLET! The bullet ...

The Peak Condition Project - Naoko: Day 84

http://thepeakconditionproject-naoko.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-84.html

Monday, August 23, 2010. I tried to jump but after 100 or so, I gave up with sore knee. Yes in addition to my sore throat, I have a sore knee. So I am going to bed at 8:11 pm. If I can get up early and feel better, I will jump tomorrow morning. I don't want to skip jumping. I really don't want to. But I feel so weak today. I am getting sick. The only thing I can do now is to sleep. So good night baby! August 23, 2010 at 7:49 AM. I hope you feel better! Taking care of yourself is definitely the right thing.

The Peak Condition Project - Deborah: The Third Indulgence

http://thepeakconditionproject-deborah.blogspot.com/2010/08/third-indulgence.html

Monday, August 16, 2010. My son ordered a large pizza last night. Feta and garlic and sundried tomatoes. And cheese. Before PCP my major protein was cheese. So I indulged. I ate 2 huge slices. Yum. Very salty. Feta is salty. It was good. What can I say. I also had a couple of slices of cheese at the after church "treat" table. The other choices there were brownies and coffee cake. Will I go back to it? Maybe in moderation. But I much prefer the way lean meat and fish makes me feel. So glad youve really i...

The Peak Condition Project - Deborah: August 2010

http://thepeakconditionproject-deborah.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 30, 2010. This program has brought me back to myself. Through a combination of common sense diet, simple (and hard) exercise, and the support of incredible people who live around the world, I was able to make decisions that lead me back to life. Look at this elegant babe:. Naoko, my sweet age mate. Royce, shooting star blazing and gone. Elena, elegant striving New Yorker. Jenny, honest, beautiful yearning young woman. Kowhai, down under loyal, plain speaking achiever. To strive for the Peak.

The Peak Condition Project -Kowhai: Day 68

http://thepeakconditionproject-kowhai.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-68.html

Saturday, August 7, 2010. Jump rope for 5mins is so much easier now, ive figured out switching between feet kinda thing makes it way easier to keep going the whole time. so jump ropes are going really good. I have to substitute other leg exercises for the pistol squats and creeps - my knee is bung again. it got better then i attemped pistol squats and it bunged up again. bugger. I had macas for tea last night - just a garden salad tho! Under my armpits and my shoulders are sore - must be workin them good.

http://thepeakconditionproject-kowhai.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-62-crash-and-burn.html

Sunday, August 1, 2010. Day 62 - crash and burn. Ok, so confession time. tonight we went for dinner at my partners aunty and uncles and I ate what they cooked (had 2 pieces of ravioli, salad and garlic bread. so not too bad in the big scheme of things. then.i had the most delicious cupcake sized sticky date pudding with icecream! I had before seems to be slowly fading, i dont know why, and i want to really put in 100% this last month, but its hard to stay focused if that makes sense, why now? Seriously, ...

The Peak Condition Project - Denise

Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Eat your greens.Adios. Eat your greens Denise….Day 90. WOW….can’t believe it has been 90 days since we all started this amazing journey. I bet that most of us choose different reasons for doing this program. For me…several factors were in play. Fat loss: I had been slowly gaining weight. Over the past 3 years. Even though I was exercising (running on treadmill, elliptical and some (loosely used term) free weights. SO, here are some not so scientific observations:. Improved s...

Thursday, 1 September 2011. Training isn't enough . but it is this week. Hey all, sorry it has been so long (Patrick forgive me) . I've managed to grab an hour a day for the exercises and so have been completing almost everything. I am really chuffed that I have continued to fit it in. I missed one day in the last 7 so it ain't too bad for someone with a 13 day old baby and a life turned upside down planning hospital appointments. To all those on day 63 . you gals / guys rock . keep it up. I'll try to ke...

Thursday, April 21, 2011. You learn about mental strength, mind over matter, commitment, execution, hard work, team work, work until failure and then get back to it and do it again. The internal strength rediscovered in ourselves is invaluable. we walked the walk. we made the commit. we travelled the path. and we executed. I hope you enjoy my photo shoot :). The photos below are outside and inside Fenway Park on Monday April 18th. celebrating my 36th bday :). Wednesday, March 30, 2011. So I am going to c...

What can I say&#8212it has been an incredible journey! I know the question on everyone's mind is: "Did E manage to survive Halloween or was the temptation so great that he succumb to the delectable heavenly sweetness of sugar and carbs to the point where they had to roll him home like the Blueberry Girl from Willy Wonka. Sunday, December 19, 2010. I hope to be one of those "check out me now" one year later folks, as it's hard to change a 12 year old body blueprint. I hope I can continue this new found life style. I know that my mind is in a better place when there is "less of me" around. Grace - thank you for inspiring me to join up and give PCP a go. You've helped me more than you know. Sunday, December 13, 2009. Before I wax poetic and all that about this experience, I really want to express my gratitude to . . . My halfside, Pacato, the best teammate EVER (who never broke a sweat no matter what kind of mood I threw at him). Sunday, April 25, 2010. The Wrap Up Part 2: Final Thoughts. It's been a week and a half since Day 90, and I still can't believe how fast the program went! Can't say I have anything more original to say than what has already been said, but I can detail what going through and completing the PCP has done for me:. Perhaps the time reference will tell you where this is headed. He had the sense to ask me how my PCP was going now that I have a baby. My answer: not well. The thing is, I sleep in spurts, I’m exhausted, and I just can’t give it all I’ve got. As Patrick said, why risk getting sick and why bother...So, Patrick’s...

Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Day XX - the end is in sight! I have been bad, not blogging for almost an entire month as I had been away a couple of times, and when I am around, things at work just became a bit too busy. Luckily, I have been staying on track (most days) with regards to the diet and exercises. These past few months have flown by, and I have found myself really enjoying not only the skipping and some of the exercises, but funnily enough, also the diet! Sunday, July 24, 2011.
