The Peak Condition Project - Erik

Sunday, April 25, 2010. The Wrap Up Part 2: Final Thoughts. It's been a week and a half since Day 90, and I still can't believe how fast the program went! Can't say I have anything more original to say than what has already been said, but I can detail what going through and completing the PCP has done for me:. I have established better eating habits. 1) Eating and drinking till I am satisfied, not full. 2) Eating 5-6 smaller portions a day. 3) Eating healthy, well-balanced meals. Patrick/Chen, thank you ...

The Peak Condition Project - Erik: January 2010

http://thepeakconditionproject-erik.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 31, 2010. First of all, FOOD! When I get to eat at home (usually only on the weekend), here is a sample dinner (clockwise from top left):. Carbs: rice (sometimes white, sometimes brown/white mix). Protein: boiled shrimp (with salt-free salsa), grilled buri (the Japanese name for this fish, sorry I do not know what it's called in English). Veggies: Brocolli, mushrooms. Veggies: Miso soup (with sprouts and baby bok choy). Bodyfat %: Day 2: 21%, Day 9: 20%, Day 16: 18.2%. I am very encourage...

Monday, March 29, 2010. Day 74 - The Grill Pan! My wife made this incredible investment and bought this grill pan about a month or so ago. It's basically a 100% iron (I think) pan that you can use on your stove top. Here's the breakdown:. The pan itself was about JPY 3,000, which is about USD 30. I'm sure you can find it for cheaper outside of Japan, but considering what it does, I think it's a great inexpensive investment. Below is a pic of the grill pan in action! Monday, March 22, 2010. The Peak Condition Project - Erik: The indulgence arrives in the nick of time

http://thepeakconditionproject-erik.blogspot.com/2010/03/indulgence-arrives-in-nick-of-time.html

Sunday, March 7, 2010. The indulgence arrives in the nick of time. Now on the drink front, things didn't go as planned. I planned on having only one beer, but I ended up having three:. Pipeline: Hawaiian beer (porter) made with 100% Hawaiian Kona Coffee (didn't really taste like coffee, but a very satisfying dark beer). Viru: A light, easy to drink Estonian beer with a nice clean wheat flavor. Hoegarden: on tap, always good! March 7, 2010 at 5:18 AM. Erik, where is your stomach going? The Peak Condition ...

The Peak Condition Project - Marissa: Day 57: 3%

http://thepeakconditionproject-marissa.blogspot.com/2010/03/day-57-3.html

Friday, March 12, 2010. So I weighed in today- I know I'm not supposed to be checking my weight, but my scale has a bodyfat measurer in it (who knows how accurate, but it's the only one I've got), and you have to let it weigh you to get to the bodyfat percentage part. The good news is that I'm down 3% in bodyfat! Busts out happy dance:. March 12, 2010 at 7:32 PM. March 12, 2010 at 9:25 PM. March 20, 2010 at 5:35 AM. Gonna bust out a Booyah, circa 1995! The Peak Condition Project - Mickey: March 2010

http://thepeakconditionproject-mickey.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Day 75 - Huh. A little physical therapy update. Last week my doctor recommended I see a PT. He said there was one in his office that was great. I thought about making an appointment with him, but it's a bit too far up-town and I figured if I have to go like 2-3x a week, I'd prefer one closer to my office. So I disregard his recommendation and begin my search. The lobby is a bit shady and shoddy looking and as it turns out — they are located on a 6th floor walk up! I mean seriousl...

Sunday, January 31, 2010. Even though things have been busy, I still wake up and do the exercises that are mapped out in my diet and for the most part I have stuck to the diet 100%. I am looking forward to getting settled and beginning a new year, at my new place. Everything is getting much easier but I am sure the time is coming where alot more is demanded from us. Friday, April 16, 2010. That went fast but slow. Hard but well, hard. I'm sad to say I didn't do this 100%. But I'm totally happy with my progress. I moved a household of four people and one dog during this process. As well, I have gone from having a 6 week old baby to a 4 month old baby. I've lost 26 pounds. Most importantly, I've learned how to eat again. Can't eat chips any more. I used to love them. Now they're disgusting. I'd rather have fruit. Friday, April 2, 2010. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://thepeakconditionproject-marissa.blogspot.com/2010/03/day-61-i-have-no-idea-what-time-it-is.html

Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Day 61: I have no idea what time it is. So Daylight Savings Time began again this weekend, and it always throws me for a loop. When DST is in effect, my body loses all sense of what time it is. I know it's only an hour's difference from standard time, but I become so time-disoriented! You know how you usually have some semi-accurate internal clock? On the plus side, it is 6:30pm and it's still gorgeously blue-skied outside. I love springtime. March 16, 2010 at 7:09 PM. The Peak Condition Project - Helen Jane: Day 73, Still at it

http://thepeakconditionproject-helen.blogspot.com/2010/03/day-73-still-at-it.html

Monday, March 29, 2010. Day 73, Still at it. Haven't been social mediaing re: PCP, but have continued eating and running. House is 80% unpacked. It's fun to have space. I have never been this busy in my life. I think I haven't come down with an illness because I'm eating so well. Normally two weeks of the activity I'm coming off of and I'd be in bed for a few days. My daughter had Cheetos from lunch and was "fake" feeding me and I bit into it. Cheetos were my favorite chip pre-PCP. Day 73, Still at it.

The Peak Condition Project - HeatherLin: Day 87 - 3 more days!

http://thepeakconditionproject-heatherlin.blogspot.com/2010/04/day-87-3-more-days.html

Sunday, April 11, 2010. Day 87 - 3 more days! I woke this morning ahead of my alarm, my eyes swollen and sealed shut and my head congested. A part of me hopes that since my allergies are hitting me a full month early this year, they will also be over a month early. But I'm terrified that it will actually mean that my allergies will be a month longer. So I'd better prepare myself for being slightly under-rested and thick-headed for the next few months. Egg white and yogurt. April 11, 2010 at 8:59 PM.

The Peak Condition Project - Mickey: Day 84 - Let the count down begin

http://thepeakconditionproject-mickey.blogspot.com/2010/04/day-84-let-count-down-begin.html

Thursday, April 8, 2010. Day 84 - Let the count down begin. Alrighty folks, 6 more days to go. The last couple of days have been quite exhausting with work, and teaching and capoeira, oh and of course, PCP. Patrick also asked us to share an ab exercise. Well I have always loved Gilad, ever since his Bodies in Motion days. I used to work out to this dvd a lot before the peak. It's more about toning the core. Here is a clip of it. What can I say&#8212it has been an incredible journey! I know the question on everyone's mind is: "Did E manage to survive Halloween or was the temptation so great that he succumb to the delectable heavenly sweetness of sugar and carbs to the point where they had to roll him home like the Blueberry Girl from Willy Wonka. Sunday, December 19, 2010. I hope to be one of those "check out me now" one year later folks, as it's hard to change a 12 year old body blueprint. I hope I can continue this new found life style. I know that my mind is in a better place when there is "less of me" around. Grace - thank you for inspiring me to join up and give PCP a go. You've helped me more than you know. Sunday, December 13, 2009. Before I wax poetic and all that about this experience, I really want to express my gratitude to . . . Tuesday, November 16, 2010. First, thanks everybody for your congratulations. Simon and I are really loving our little man! Between 12:30 and 3 this morning I had an email chat with Patrick. Perhaps the time reference will tell you where this is headed. He had the sense to ask me how my PCP was going now that I have a baby. My answer: not well. I have been bad, not blogging for almost an entire month as I had been away a couple of times, and when I am around, things at work just became a bit too busy. Luckily, I have been staying on track (most days) with regards to the diet and exercises.
