Weimaraner Chronicles

Monday, July 02, 2007. Pat, the doggies, and I hit the trails this past weekend, and what a beautiful weekend it was. Aside from a couple porcupine quills (ahem. Lincoln) and a sprained ankle (me) a good time was had by all. We hiked in the Dry River trail about 5 miles to the junction with the Isolation Trail and found a great established camp site. Once we set up camp, we discovered that Luna REALLY liked the tent! The doggies were quite exhausted and made themselves right at home! Is that Cesar Millan?

Weimaraner Chronicles: SnowPawing

http://www.viewfromnh-weimaraner.blogspot.com/2007/02/snowpawing.html

Sunday, February 18, 2007. Sometimes, like in the picture below, Lincoln will get in a real playful mood and chase after me. Here's Luna catching a snowball . . . And here's Lincoln running towards me. We found a recently used ice fishing hole and were able to break the thin layer of ice over the hole. Lincoln and Luna weren't sure what to make of it, but eventually drank some of the water. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). BAE Outdoor Club Calendar. Tales From the Edge of an Ozone Hole.

Saturday, January 13, 2007. Lincoln and Luna love to help us read. They especially like it when Jodie stays home to read files for work. Weimaraner Chronicles: December 2006

http://www.viewfromnh-weimaraner.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 28, 2006. December Hikes: Tremont and Carr. As Jodie mentioned in her previous post. I've taken Lincoln and Luna for a couple hikes the past few weeks. The first hike to Mt Tremont was about 5.5 miles of snow free trail and relatively warm temperatures. The second hike to Carr Mountain had a small amount of snow from top to bottom and colder temperatures. The dogs seemed to have lots of fun on both trips. On the Carr Mtn hike, I got a decent shot of Lincoln at the summit. Christmas day...

Weimaraner Chronicles: For your viewing pleasure....

http://www.viewfromnh-weimaraner.blogspot.com/2007/06/for-your-viewing-pleasure.html

Saturday, June 23, 2007. For your viewing pleasure. It's been a while since we've had time to get pictures from the camera to the computer, from the computer to the website. But we're back and better than ever! Check out the doggies in action:. Brandy is the boxer and Scully is the english bulldog. On the trail again! Is that a moose? Nope, just Lincoln ;o). Confusion (with a cameo by my brother Kevin). And here are some oldies but goodies. My second and third true loves ;o). The clean eating veg.

viewfromnablus | A month teaching music in Nablus, Palestine–and other writings about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

January 1, 2011 · 10:32 pm. Day 16 – New Year’s Day in Rafidia. I’d love to actually become proficient in Arabic, even marginally so. It is such a hard language. The sounds and words just don’t stick in my head very well. There were some fancy boutiques (mixed in among the more typical shop front groceries and butchers) and even. Complete with dressed up waiters who show you to your table. It felt so much more like home, or Europe, without. January 1, 2011 · 9:28 pm. The difference is very clear. So I fi...

John Muir was American’s most famous naturalist and conservationist. Some of his quotes are among the favorite nature quotes of all time. Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul alike. You can find many more beautiful words on the Sierra Club John Muir Exhibit.

Observations and images in retirement. August 10, 2015. Lettie on Long Island. Dressed in my blue patent leather pumps with kitten heels and blue coat with its swingy hem and oversized buttons, I had boarded the LIRR at the Farmingdale station. Now the train was rocketing into the East River tunnel to its destination in New York City. I dug in my purse to check the ticket and letter. Did I have the right day? Did I have the right ticket? Did I have the subway token? 8212; David Brooks. At the concert hal...
