Sleeping through an alarm can lead to explicit negative results. A monophasic sleeper could miss an important meeting and lose his job. 2038248. Day 1-3
Wednesday, August 27, 2008. It has also been a psychological relief having the 3 hour core sleep at night. On Uberman, the waking portions of time and the nap durations were respectively identical. This made it tricky to decipher the starting and ending points the days. It was as if life was a machine perpetually moving forward without respite. With everyman, the core sleep clearly distinguishes the different days. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Thursday, August 28, 2008. This may look haphazard at first glance, but it is actually quite elegant. This schedule gives me four five-hour sections of time each day. Each block is exactly five hours long. These are the target times. Inevitably, unexpected events arise that make it impossible to follow these times exactly. Fortunately, the impact of napping not at precisely the correct time is less severe with Everyman Sleep than with Uberman Sleep. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Wednesday, August 27, 2008. I tried Uberman for just over two weeks, but unfortunately it just wasn't practical at home. I decided to heed Pure Doxyk's advice from her book Ubersleep. She recommends sleeping monophasically for at least a few weeks between ending one polyphasic sleeping regimen and starting another. I have slept monophasically for the last 30 days, and I have been averaging about 8 hours per night. VIEW MY EVERYMAN SCHEDULE. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Dymaxion Sleep Log: Day 1. Monday, July 14, 2008. I felt reasonably energized and rested throughout the day. I have read numerous accounts of how difficult it has been for some people to transition to Polyphasic Sleeping. Some have tried to avoid exercise for the first week or so. Despite this caveat, the weather today was so nice that I just had to work out. I was curious to see how my body would respond. Today is Wednesday July 23, which means that I have been on either the Dymaxion Sleep Schedule or the Unberman Schedule since Saturday the 12. Therefore, my current location in the fourth dimension ("location" in time) is the beginning of the 12th day. I will reflect on the past two days (11th and 12th days). I would predominately like to focus on oversleeping and the polyphasic sleeper's task of quintessentially structuring the 22 hour waking day.

I made it to my three naps with ease, and I plan to take my fourth nap in about half an hour. I overslept only on the 12:30pm nap by about 20 minutes. But just to give a rundown of what I am feeling I feel that some stages seem as if they are considerably longer or shorter then others. Polyphasic Sleep Log: Day 6, 7. Friday, July 18, 2008. Two consecutive nights of oversleeping would provoke the ire of most polyphasic sleepers, especially when they are in their adaption process. Now my experiences seem to be reaching a sort of equilibrium. My new daily thoughts on polyphasic sleep seem to be diminishing. 2038262. Dependence
Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Polyphasic Sleeping can be somewhat frustrating at times because it often seems as if the body is not completely independent. Most people have conditioned brains that often crave long periods of sleep. Therefore, polyphasic sleepers can usually not be dependent on the body to help manage the schedule. Polyphasic Sleepers would be wise to construct a reliable alarm system that will get you out of bed quickly and keep you from returning to sleep. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Two popular polyphasic methods are the Uberman Sleeping Schedule and the Dymaxion Sleeping Schedule.
