My Daily Training Blog. Anything worth doing is worth doing better. May 13, 2013. Great video about pushing yourself (actually about having someone else push you). The principles he discusses are applicable to everything in life that’s worth doing, whether it’s rowing, running a marathon or even your first 2 mile jog/walk, working your desk job, fostering a relationship, or raising children. My Daily Training Blog. Andy’s Daily Run – Grandma’s Marathon! June 21, 2013. This time I’m forcing myself to take it easy, and I’ve designated certain points in the race where I can evaluate and increase the pace if I feel good, but only within certain bands. I. Like I could run sub-3 right now without a lot of difficulty, but I’m planning not to. If my plan works, I should finish in about 3:05. So far 26.2 is winning the war, but perhaps tomorrow will be my day…. Last few weeks… →. Follow Blog via Email.

Running on One Good Hip. Thoughts and pictures from a running Librarian. Proud owner of 1 broken hip from 2014. Race, Rest, Race, Rest, Race…. August 2, 2015. August 2, 2015. I’ve not ran in a week since Thunder Run 24. Before Thunder Run I had a slight thigh strain that I would class as a discomfort. Certainly as a runner who clocks 70 miles a week regularly I am used to suffering discomfort and even enjoy it to a degree. 1) Learn the difference between discomfort and pain. 2) Do the sock test. I have g...
