The Peak Condition Project - Brett

Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Reflections on the last 90 days. There's a lot to sum up; a great deal- of me- has changed in the last few months. Let's start with the numbers. Body Fat %: 23 (est.). Body Fat %: 11.7. Total weight lost: 24.4 lbs. Total pounds of fat lost: 21.6 lbs. Hmm a little baggy. That's more like it. This is just as important as any of the pseudo-intellectual babel you're going to read later, so let's do it first. And not, "Wow! You're so skinny now! To everyone who reacted with, "Wow!

The Peak Condition Project - Brett: June 2010

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-brett.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Has anyone else noticed. That the more you get into shape, the harder it is to sit in a chair for 8-10 hours, and the worse you feel afterwards? I don't think I'm just imagining this. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. The inferno has ended, both inside and outside. New exhaust motor for the AC unit is in place and seems to be working. Still deciding on Indulgence: Part Trois, but I'm thinking Moroccan (Bastilla! Off to burn it up, PCP-style. Monday, June 28, 2010. The diet goes well, desp...

The Peak Condition Project - Brett: The Gym

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-brett.blogspot.com/2010/07/gym.html

Sunday, July 11, 2010. Last Monday evening (July 5 th. I strolled the 6 blocks or so down to one of DCs. Big chain gyms, which takes up half of the second floor of a newish condo/apartment building in an "up and coming" part of town. (Also in or around the building: a Safeway, a Japanese grill, a great health-food diner/cafe that I frequent, and a hardware store. So you really never have to leave the building! It has a very urban-lunar-colony feel to it.). And starting tapping out some notes. Actually, a...

The Peak Condition Project - Brett: Day 79: The coming indulgence

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-brett.blogspot.com/2010/07/day-79-coming-indulgence.html

Friday, July 2, 2010. Day 79: The coming indulgence. I was hoping to have tackled my indulgence for lunch today, but work has pushed back Marrakech Palace to this evening- "Insha'Allah" ("God Willing"), as they say in North Africa and the Middle East. The Peak Condition Project - Brett: Day 79: Gluttony

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-brett.blogspot.com/2010/07/day-79-gluttony.html

Sunday, July 4, 2010. As promised, here is the photo montage of my (over-) indulgence. My friend had been unable to meet me for lunch, so I decided to go solo for a late dinner. I've attempted to faithfully follow all of Patrick's diet exercise instruction over the past 79 days, so hey, why stop now? True to my word, I went all out- "whole hog." Or, this being a halal establishment, chicken. Oh, and, of course, the traditional small pot of sugary-sweet Moroccan tea, with at LEAST 3 cups. Hey, they don't ...

The Peak Condition Project - Brett: Day 86 & Day 87

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-brett.blogspot.com/2010/07/day-86-day-87.html

Saturday, July 10, 2010. Day 86 and Day 87. Another late-night session. I took a nap after work (looong day on Thursday, didn't get lots of sleep) so I didn't complete Day 86 until the wee hours of the morning. But I still got it in, and did better than I expected:. The Super-sets were a nice change- like Mikhael, Jason, and Jennifer mentioned, they weren't as hard as I was expecting, just different;. 35 V-Sits on the first set! I remember when I couldn't manage more than 5 or 6. And. Meals go well; I've...

The Peak Condition Project - Todd: Back in San Francisco, stats update

http://thepeakconditionproject-todd.blogspot.com/2010/07/back-in-san-francisco-stats-update.html

Saturday, July 3, 2010. Back in San Francisco, stats update. After a week moving, guessing weights, substituting exercises and food, and a massive indulgence, I was afraid I'd done quite a lot of damage to my PCP. Fortunately, the scale shows that I maintained my weight, lost fat, gained muscle. Thank goodness! Now let's finish this thing properly! July 3, 2010 at 9:19 PM. Family moved, new life ready to start, WITH a badass body! July 3, 2010 at 11:23 PM. Heres to some impressive accomplishments!

http://thepeakconditionproject-jason.blogspot.com/2010/07/day-86-accentuate-positive.html

Friday, July 9, 2010. Day 86: Accentuate the positive. Struck down by the PCP gods for lambasting my doorman (for simply doing his job), I understand that with only 4 days left there is no room for negativity. I did my jumprope penance (see pics). Onwards and upwards! Only 4 more days to go. I'm expecting some sort of an epiphany.I'm also expecting the last remnants of my belly to disappear, maybe I should start jumping 3x a day? July 9, 2010 at 8:01 AM. Now stop whipping yourself already!

The Peak Condition Project - Jason: Day 78: Devo

http://thepeakconditionproject-jason.blogspot.com/2010/07/day-78-devo.html

Thursday, July 1, 2010. The PCP gods are cruel. After complaining the other day that the marks had faded, this morning jumping I helped myself to a fresh, new, hearty flagellation, check it out. Ooooooh yeah, hard core! We've talked about this before (I love talking about it), but MAN am I gassy! More than before, though not sure why, my diet has not changed. Maybe its because my pants are too loose, and I'm wearing my belt too tight? Team SEXAAAAY, how does it feel to be the wiley veterans? Does this me...

http://thepeakconditionproject-jason.blogspot.com/2010/07/day-88-mixing-and-matching.html

Sunday, July 11, 2010. Day 88: Mixing and Matching. Was that the longest run-on sentence in PCP history? V-sit/Plank Super Sets, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.did not come close to Brett's 4:03 Plank. The first set was about 3;30, the other 4 were between 2:00-3:00. V-sits were all between 20-30 reps. July 11, 2010 at 9:05 AM. Ooh, I wish I could be there for the ceremony. Kill some carrots for me, okay? July 11, 2010 at 5:22 PM. Can you send a work-out PDF file of the proceedings? The Peak C...

Sunday, July 18, 2010. Day 90 (b): COMPLETE. Very sorry for the delay in posting my FINAL blog post, but needed some time to reflect, and also have been taking Patricks' advice to heart, to take a break and rest (read: been out on the piss almost every night). And best of luck to the new team. Stick with it! July 15, 2010 at 12:17 AM. Especially having to deal with the move. July 15, 2010 at 6:05 AM. Yeah, dude, you worked it out, literally. Very nice! Friday, April 30, 2010. Day 16: Tortilla Tower. Garlic grilled shrimp, ginger steamed chicken, broccoli, radish, cucumber, pumpkin wrapped in whole wheat tortilla (x4). Best lunch so far, and probably will do the same every day until I'm sick of it, which I'm guessing won't be for a loooooong time. Thursday, April 29, 2010. Day 15: More on (moron? http://thepeakconditionproject-maren.blogspot.com/2010/05/where-there-is-end-there-is-beginning.html

Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Where there is an end there is a beginning. Long time now since i posted something. This week has been strange, both good and bad. Im starting to get tired of my diet, and found myself being uninspired and bored. Bad thing really, becouse it makes bad habits sneek up on you. Yea I have been a naughty. Girl So. Father I have sinned. I ate a bowl of sugared popcorn, and binged in on the sweet stuff. Gluttony, lust and frenzy. So to the skipping rope. We have about 5 different sp...

The Peak Condition Project - Mikhael: 1 Year!

http://thepeakconditionproject-mikhael.blogspot.com/2011/04/1-year.html

Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Well, we're 13 days past the 1 year anniversary of me starting the Peak Condition Project. My life would be so much different now without it. Although I have to say, life can really get in the way of the road to peak condition, and a felled tree of that size can be a mighty pain to move. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thursday, July 1, 2010. So i have not updated for a while (as usual). I have been completly stressed out with new job, school and moving, so my ability to do pcp has been dwindeling. At the moment im also without internet. As of said before , im very happy with the results I have seen so far, and I know they would have been even more if I had been able to stick to it theese last weeks. So Im back on the plan today, just to finish and do the last two weeks. July 1, 2010 at 4:09 PM. July 1, 2010 at 4:19 PM.

Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Day 90 - What a ride. Period. There were a ton of ups and downs, but PCP is so brilliantly structured, you have the support of your group and you have the pictures, always the pictures, to track your progress. Sunday, July 17, 2011. My next endeavor is to train for a half triathlon, 2 more months for that, that should keep me burning fat and get my cardio in shape, and maybe burn the rest of the belly off. Have a few things I want to share, some more for myself to look back at if ever I crash and burn and need to get fit again - but also for others to see what REALLY happened over the 3 months. BMI: from 27 to 22.7. Weight from 92.3 to 79.6kg (-12.7kg). Liver function γーGTP : 107 to 21. Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Day 90 - End of Days - the result. Its all done and dusted, and I have to say PCP produced better results than I was expecting. The program got the one part of my fitness/health lifestyle into some level of control. There were days where cravings got the better of me, and I had a bit of chocolate here and a beer there, but for the most part I stayed the course. Total Body Fat -24%. Visceral Fat -14.5%. Basal Metabolism - 2024 cal. Muscle Mass - 34.0%. Subcutaneous Fat - 16.2%.

Monday, May 31, 2010. Keep climbing: PCP Wrap up. A celebratory holiday weekend is coming to a close. The BBQ yesterday was joyous and I indulged in pork ribs, chorizo sausage, and a few beers. Stayed up late with my friends and family and reveled in the summer weather. Today I'm feeling pretty fine and ready to step well into the post-PCP world. Let's examine the evidence. Saturday, September 5, 2009. End of the Beginning. It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society. But typically, it was just cereal, sandwich, pasta. Friday, March 6, 2009. The easiest thing about PCP is diving into some of my guilty pleasures. of which I have so many. Like listening to music I usually would be embarrassed to have on my ipod, like the new Brittany Spears album, awesome beats for working out. Last night was the season finale and they were in the top 2, but ended up losing to quest crew :(. Tuesday, March 3, 2009. So we are just over half way, can you believe it! I can't. Secretly by now I was hoping to love exercise. Since, but I'm.
