The Peak Condition Project - Ilan

Thursday, September 30, 2010. Day - 90 First step - done - whats next. I think it is a quote from Mao, that a trip of 10,000 miles begins with a 1st step. Well we just now finished our first step, 9,999 more to go, however they do not seem intimidating nor long, I can easily say bring it on. The changes just from 90 day are amazing, but the fundamental changes are even more amazing for me - eating right, good food that is accessible, tasty and healthy, more important control and planning of eating and dr...

The Peak Condition Project - Ilan: Day 83

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-ilan.blogspot.com/2010/09/day-83.html

Tuesday, September 21, 2010. One more week to go! Sartign from the end, i decided to switch today's workout with tomorrow, I already done 28 minutes jump rope this morning, and I am so dead now my workout will be miserable. Got to work today after I prepared lunch at home, so food wise it was pure PCP the way I like it! I think it is a key to any activity but for health and diet, planning in advance is gold! The Peak Condition Project - Ilan: Day 86 Super sets

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-ilan.blogspot.com/2010/09/day-86-super-sets.html

Friday, September 24, 2010. Day 86 Super sets. What a change in workout. I had a great workout, I had no power to. Today some small progress in the work, not some thing that will make my day shine, but progress is good. I hope we make it. Was a bit more hungry today, and had a craving for sweet, a tea spoon of chocolate spread took care of that, again I see the level of control PCP gave me to decide how far and what I would like to consume, before it would not end and 1 tea spoon. Good Willpower of STEEL!

The Peak Condition Project - Ilan: Day 70 - Anger motivation

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-ilan.blogspot.com/2010/09/day-70-hitting-pcp-low.html

Wednesday, September 8, 2010. Day 70 - Anger motivation. Finally I got myself to do the workout, thank god , it is just jumps. I jumped for 20 minuets, however my anger at the work situation was still high, I jumped another 8 minuets. than done 8min abs, finally cooled down. Tomorrow I am going to get a heap load of heat from HQ on the pipeline, but at least it will be a new PCP week. The Peak Condition Project - Louise. September 8, 2010 at 7:00 AM. Tomorrow can be PPCPD : perfect PCP day. Day 70 - Ange...

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-ilan.blogspot.com/2010/09/day-85.html

Thursday, September 23, 2010. Thank god that today was a holiday, I needed it. Dropped the kids to their school bus in the morning, than put is a few hours of sleep to catch up. Food was all pure PCP for me. I like how it feels when you are 100% eating the good stuff. Not that in other days I do not eat this way, but when you have the time and the control you feel it better. The Peak Condition Project - Will: Supersets and the nature of Pain.

http://thepeakconditionproject-will.blogspot.com/2010/09/supersets-and-nature-of-pain.html

Saturday, September 25, 2010. Supersets and the nature of Pain. Now, that sounds perfectly horrible, BUT, the upside. Fer the next 6 hours of that day, I felt INCREDIBLY euphoric. I pushed incredibly hard, and the body feedback was "Awesome! The following day however, has been odd. I've maintained that euphoria, but also the feeling that all my muscles are made out of bricks. I haven't been this consistently sore since the start of the program. Kinda the best way to end it that I can think of.

The Peak Condition Project - Sarah: July 2010

http://thepeakconditionproject-sarah.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Saturday, July 31, 2010. Day 31: TEAM NAME! Ok, kidlets - I have no time to post but much to say about 1) my final day in Colorado which included a very big FIRST for me and 2) my indulgence.but you'll have to wait until Monday to find out more, since I *need* to get to bed and tomorrow is a very long travel day back to NY. BUT - I want to put this out to my Day 31 cohort: we need a TEAM NAME! So - please put your suggestions in the comments below. Friday, July 30, 2010. Day 30: Best Workout Yet. Every y...

http://thepeakconditionproject-grace.blogspot.com/2010/09/d86-thank-goodness.html

Friday, September 24, 2010. D86 - thank goodness. This is a quick post to express my gratitude for the pcp. Today was a crapola work day. Luckily this did not carry over to the workout. Hooray for supersets? I know, sounds insane but a really intense, burning workout was what I needed. It made me feel BADASS and in control when other elements of my life are SUCKASS. September 24, 2010 at 7:56 PM. Can i get a HELL YEAH! September 25, 2010 at 5:19 PM. September 25, 2010 at 9:22 PM. D88 - WIPED. OUT. Simple...

Sunday, September 26, 2010. D88 - WIPED. OUT. Short post since eyes are closing quickly. Proud to say I did today's workout after the tournament. Did every fucking plank, v-sit AND 8min abs. Who's BADASS now? I did skip jump rope since I had been jumping all damn day long on the court. That should suffice right Patrick? September 26, 2010 at 8:03 PM. Show em WHOS BAD! Youre so BAD youre GOOD! So GOOD youre BAD! Im delirious - must sleep :). September 26, 2010 at 11:19 PM. September 27, 2010 at 2:26 PM.

The Peak Condition Project - Grace: October 2010

http://thepeakconditionproject-grace.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 2, 2010. It's day 91 and there are peppermint patty and pb cup wrappers strewn all over my apt. .PSYCH! In all fairness, with me that's totally possible. :P Heck, on the day I met Brett (team running rats, who told me about the pcp), I offered him pork rinds and pringles at 9AM. When he said no, I just figured PRP wasn't everybody's idea of breakfast. Little did I know. I'm sure he was probably disgusted. 1) WWSD - what would sarah do. 2) There I said it, now I have to do it. I take sto...

Monday, September 20, 2010. 82 Not feelin' it. September 21, 2010 at 3:03 AM. I know its hard. I spent a lot of time being mad about how far I had let myself go in the wrong direction, and resenting the amount of work I had to do when my gorgeous teammates just firmed up beautifully. But what are the choices? The Peak Condition Project - Louise. September 21, 2010 at 3:09 AM. You are not that girl! I know its hard to see when you are feeling down, but this is what i see, and im sure everyone else does.

Monday, September 27, 2010. D90 - HELLZ YEEAAAAAAAAAAH. It's been said before but we probably put up way more psychological road blocks than actual physical ones exist. Had to tell the feeble brain to shut it. The best part came when I was getting my ID and the dude at the gym asked "Why do you need the assisted pull-up machine? September 28, 2010 at 2:02 AM. Thats how its DONE. September 28, 2010 at 7:34 AM. Gym dude was RIGHT ON! You are my idol for getting that workout DONE regardless! D87/88 - tired ...

Monday, September 27, 2010. D89 - nearly there but not quite. Don't rush us pcp web site! It's really strange. I suspect it's cause that's the leg I favor when I land from hitting the ball. The weather in DC don't help either. It is grey, muggy and generally disgusting today. Oh how I heart this city. September 27, 2010 at 8:02 AM. Patrick - can I please switch my celeb/role model? The Peak Condition Project - Haley: October 2010

http://thepeakconditionproject-haley.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 2, 2010. What I've learned - pt. 1 - food. So I'm done. I still can't believe that I made it. I've been so hungry. The fiber is an amazing wonder. Before doing pcp, I was aware in an abstract way that food is the body's fuel and that what you eat affects how you feel, but since I'd always been eating the same things I couldn't really see how better food makes you feel better. Now I've felt it and lived it and it's so clear how much what you eat affects how you feel.

Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Day 3 - PCP redux. Well, folks -. After a great PCP, I've slipped off the wagon. I was hamstrung twice - once with my father dying three weeks after PCP ended, and twice with the development of Achilles tendinitis almost immediately after I started getting back on track (which, truthfully, I could have worked around. Equally truthfully, I didn't. Instead I sulked and overindulged). Eventually, it occurred to me that waiting. Thursday, April 15, 2010. Well, first off -. It ha...

Friday, April 16, 2010. That went fast but slow. Hard but well, hard. I'm sad to say I didn't do this 100%. But I'm totally happy with my progress. I moved a household of four people and one dog during this process. As well, I have gone from having a 6 week old baby to a 4 month old baby. I've lost 26 pounds. Most importantly, I've learned how to eat again. Can't eat chips any more. I used to love them. Now they're disgusting. I'd rather have fruit. Friday, April 2, 2010. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Some thoughts after PCP. So, a couple of days after PCP, I tried to re adjust myself into a "normal" life, only realizing that it is not the same as it used to be. For example, my fingers got all puffy in the morning from the salt that I ate the previous day. It was not that salty because I cooked by myself using a moderate amount of ingredients. Behold the power of salt. At National Geographic, which I did a while ago. No wonder they are all large. Weight: 60.2kg - 53.8kg. In 3 ...

Thursday, December 16, 2010. Alright. it's been several days and, much like the rest of the team, I keep thinking I'll have a nice inspired post to wrap everything up. I get little pieces of what I want to write, but it doesn't flow the way I want, so now I'll just get going with it. I dropped a to-go pizza from a local restaurant into my diet this week and, boy, did that drag me down. The next day I woke up thirsty and sluggish. basically miserable. Oh yeah, that's here to stay. Thursday, December 16, 2010. Ok, this will be my final post, I promise! I LOVE the maintenance workouts. I planned to take tuesday off except got itchy for a workout and did 8 minute abs and 15 minutes of jumprope. The last two days I've done full workouts from day 67 and 72 to try and keep myself at a high level. However, the new maintenance workouts have put an end to that! I'm really looking forward to christmas, and I'd like to wish everyone on this project a merry christmas and a happy new year!

Sunday, 1 May 2011. I have fallen back into old eating habits and having been doing any exercises due to concern for my foot injury. I'm surprised by how the past week has highlighted the immense importance of pcp community motivation. My day is not complete without a spot of jumping. Actually it feels good to be doing it for enjoyment, rather than feeling I have to. .
