The Kung Fu Body - Gwen: The Karate Kid, Then & Now
http://thekungfubody-gwen.blogspot.com/2010/06/karate-kid-then-now.html
Sunday, June 13, 2010. The Karate Kid, Then and Now. Two weeks ago Joel. And I watched The Karate Kid (1984). This weekend we watched the new version. Top, 1984. Bottom, 2010. Even watching the trailers you get a sense for how different these two films are from a pacing perspective. There were times during the 1984 version that I had to stifle yawns. Contrast that with the 2010 version when I had to use the restroom but didn't want to leave for fear I'd miss a scene. June 15, 2010 at 5:01 AM. Wellness is...

Monday, June 21, 2010. The Best and Worst of Us. On our journey through life it can be so easy to focus on the darker side of humanity. The wars, the greed, the backstabbing, cowardice, corruption and misery. Every news site you visit today will simply be a new mix of these old ingredients. I'm glad to be sharing this spark with my fellow KFBers! Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Lean Strong Flexible Agile. I've never been functionally stronger. Friday, June 4, 2010. I had a long week. The Kung Fu Body - Patrick Reynolds: July 2010
http://thekungfubody-patrick.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 26, 2010. Last week was my birthday (thanks to all wellwishers! This birthday I continued an idea I've had for a while. With each passing year I only want to get stronger and healthier, even as people my age trend towards carrying that extra ten pounds around the gut and sacrificing a certain percentage of their health for their careers. Here's a photo I took on my birthday in my favorite Shao Lin Stance:. Monday, July 19, 2010. It happens to me sometimes. I'll suddenly lose 50% of my ra...

Kung Fu Body - Shivani: PAU. (a wink and a smile)
http://thekungfubody-shivani.blogspot.com/2010/08/pau-wink-and-smile.html
Saturday, August 21, 2010. PAU (a wink and a smile). Pau" means finished in Hawaiian. I know we're all winking and smiling because how can one ever "complete" the project of mental and physical health? How can I stop training, despite the fact that my jumprope broke on Day 90 (bittersweet, but definitely not a sign that jump roping is no longer on the menu. Thank you, Mr. Rope, for 180 days of fun times together)? The good stuff on TED, Coach Jen. Angela at Bend and Bloom Yoga. My spiritual leader, Amber.

Kung Fu Body - Shivani: Meditating, Malitol
http://thekungfubody-shivani.blogspot.com/2010/07/meditating-malitol.html
Friday, July 16, 2010. Yesterday I had a massive sugar craving, and decided to give into my desire for something sweet. Rather than pick something KFB friendly, like an extra piece of fruit with honey, I went balls out and decided to consume something as far from nature as Heidi Montag's new profile. You see, I wanted chocolate. Why didn't I just get a nice little piece of the high quality dark stuff? Maybe there's something I'm resisting? July 16, 2010 at 4:33 PM. July 17, 2010 at 1:19 AM. The Kung Fu Body - Patrick Reynolds: Lockdown
http://thekungfubody-patrick.blogspot.com/2010/07/lockdown.html
Monday, July 19, 2010. Anyone else have days where your flexibility levels just plummet? It happens to me sometimes. I'll suddenly lose 50% of my range of motion in my legs. The day before I'll have my chin down on my knee with no problem and the next day I can't touch my toes. Or when I was doing overhead crescent kicks on Tuesday and Thursday I can barely manage chest high. I still haven't pinpointed what brings on the Lockdown. This is my list of culprits. You've got this awesome body, don't you want ...
