The Peak Condition Project - David Fendley: Stamina

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-david.blogspot.com/2008/08/stamina.html

Monday, August 11, 2008. It turns out the fitness center I was going to visit wasn't open as late as I had hoped, so I didn't get to it today. I'm going to go later this morning. As the PCP comes to a "close" for us tomorrow, I have to admit, even just a year ago I would not have expected to be able to reach the condition that I have on this project. We've all come so far. We've stuck it out. Now for the longest part of the process: making it a part of the rest of our lives. JUST ONE MORE DAY!

The Peak Condition Project - David Fendley: "What's a gym? Oh, a gym." -- Homer Simpson

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-david.blogspot.com/2008/08/whats-gym-oh-gym-homer-simpson.html

Monday, August 11, 2008. Oh, a gym." - Homer Simpson. Good ol' Homer Simpson. So I just got back from the gym. They got a membership out of me, but for two reasons: 1) they have an awesome bar for pull ups and chin ups. 2) Yoga. They have some beginner Yoga classes and are adding more next month. I've been wanting to do it for some time. Now that I have a membership, I have to go to get my moneys worth. I think this is where encouragement and community comes in. Just today, I learned that one of my best ...

The Peak Condition Project - David Fendley: July 2008

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-david.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 29, 2008. So I had Mexican food as my indulgence. I have not felt this tired and slow after eating all year. Wow. This really sucks as it's a huge hindrance from my work. It's amazing how much mental clarity comes from physical clarity. What a great reminder that working out and eating right can do so much for you. I'll keep it short and leave you with one of my new found favorite quotes:. Patrick has given us a mission: our 3rd and final indulgence! Tuesday, July 22, 2008. I'm at a cafe li...

The Peak Condition Project - David Fendley: August 2008

http://www.thepeakconditionproject-david.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Another Day in the Life of PCP. In the past three months, we've learned about the body, how to eat right, how to exercise properly, how to set and attain goals, and so much more. We've both struggled and prevailed, and now it's time to take these lessons on into the rest of our lives. As the PCP will show, I think the answer lies in regular change. The other day I vented my frustration in sticking to things, in being reliable and committing, and in struggling with constantly wan...

http://thepeakconditionproject-adrianemiko.blogspot.com/2008/11/emiko-day-90-peek-back-at-day-1.html

Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Emiko: Day 90, A Peek Back At Day 1. OH MY GOSH IT'S DAY 90! I cannot believe that this Project is officially over. Congratulations Tim, Amy, Nate, and Adrian and meee! BIG big thanks to Patrick and Chen for guiding us along through the process. WOW! Patrick had mentioned once in an email, ". Like Adrian, I plan to write a little more and to post some photos of my new muscles! But that will probably be in a couple days, I need to recover from all that curry! Word verificatio...

The Peak Condition Project - Sean Anderson: Day 88, In the spirit of the Olympics

http://thepeakconditionproject-sean.blogspot.com/2008/08/day-88-in-spirit-of-olympics.html

Sunday, August 10, 2008. Day 88, In the spirit of the Olympics. There is a 24 Hour Fitness (I’ve always thought it odd that it isn’t actually open for 24 hours.what’s the point of the name? For that reason alone I will never again desire to join a 24 Hour or Bally’s or L.A. Fitness gym. Ever. Never ever. I have never been terribly good at swimming, just terrible. I can certainly keep myself afloat and, obviously, I haven’t drowned myself trying anything laughably simple in the water but beyond ...I didn&...

The Peak Condition Project - Nate: November 2008

Saturday, November 15, 2008. DAY 90 = PCP DONE. A long life of activity, vitality, wellness, and awareness just begun . . . So it is so hard to figure out how to make a quality, meaningful, and complete last post. But I'm going to do the best I can and hopefully update from time to time in the future. Once a month or so with thoughts on maintaining, new growth, and encouragement for any new PCP groups to come. So without further ado, here goes nothing! SECTION 1: PCP Mindset and changes. 10 Finally, you ...

Friday, October 31, 2008. Emiko: Day 78, Cinematic Consumption. Speaking of anxiety, I have a phone interview for a job this afternoon. Wish me luck! I plan to have my third and final indulgence directly following the interview, so I will be updating on that soon! Hope you all are well. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Emiko: Day 76, Clothes! I first want to congratulate PCPJapan! How does it feel to reach the final day of the Project? All three of you look fabulous! And I still have love-handles! That state...

The Peak Condition Project - Sean Anderson: Day 81, Whoops

http://thepeakconditionproject-sean.blogspot.com/2008/08/day-81-whoops.html

Sunday, August 3, 2008. Day 81, Whoops. So I made a mistake about the whole timeline of this project- it seems that things changed through the course of this thing and instead of the project ending on August 15th like I originally thought and mentioned before it will instead be ending on “Day 90”. So that would mean that, as of writing this, there are only nine more days in the project for Corry, David, and me. Perhaps I’ll take up yoga again. Or something else.knitting? Mistake on my part. Day 90, Done.

The Peak Condition Project - Maki: Day 90 – Officially finished

http://thepeakconditionproject-maki.blogspot.com/2008/12/day-90-officially-finished.html

Saturday, December 6, 2008. Day 90 – Officially finished. I just finished doing my exercises and skipping which means I have completed PCP! I went back to Day 9 exercises and completed them within 20 minutes. I did get a good workout but obviously didn’t feel the “burn” as much as recent days due to the lower number of reps. But that means, my muscles has toned right? I am more than thrilled. Thank you all for your support and reading my rather dull blog! December 7, 2008 at 5:41 AM. PCP - Hama Mamas.

The Peak Condition Project - Maki: Day 89

http://thepeakconditionproject-maki.blogspot.com/2008/12/day-89.html

Saturday, December 6, 2008. Finished skipping and exercises just before midnight. It was tough but I am happy that I finished them. My arms feel as though they are twice the size though! Starting from 0, who would have thought that I would be skipping over 2000 skips without having have to catch my breath? Me doing push ups and sit ups? It just seems like yesterday that I asked my husband to explain how to do them properly. He could not believe how pathetic my muscles were! PCP - Hama Mamas.

The Peak Condition Project - Munisha: Countdown thoughts - #3 - INDULGENCE TIME!

http://thepeakconditionproject-munisha.blogspot.com/2008/12/countdown-thoughts-3-indulgence-time.html

Thursday, December 4, 2008. Countdown thoughts - #3 - INDULGENCE TIME! The only negative about indulging was picking my item to indulge in! 160;I always wanted to pick the perfect thing.  Not such a bad problem.and with each indulgence, I got quicker at picking.probably because I was so in need of one.  Can't wait for my first post-PCP indulgence - 90 days in.I know I deserve it! Only 2 more days to go. That was the most fun I have had being lost in a long time and I get lost a lot. Thanks.

The Peak Condition Project - Sean Anderson: Day 83, The well's run dry

http://thepeakconditionproject-sean.blogspot.com/2008/08/day-83-wells-run-dry.html

Tuesday, August 5, 2008. Day 83, The well's run dry. Actually, there still is the indulgence day to consider- and I had better get a move on with that or miss my opportunity completely- and of course there’s the matter of the small assignment that Patrick gave us three recently, what that is you’ll have to wait and see because I’m not going to ruin the surprise for you all (that is unless Corry or David mention it first). Instead of standing at the kitchen counter at every meal, weighing out the correct ...

Friday, 2 September 2011. Being pretty on the inside won't get you laid. Wednesday, 31 August 2011. Sayonara hookers and hoodlums. I started this program because of peer pressure. The truth is I've secretly been wanting to challenge myself to a break from drinking and focus more on exercise for a long time and PCP's slightly cooler than AA. It's great not waking up with a hangover everyday wondering what the hell you wrote on facebook. or posted on pcp! Was that my ass? Yes, it was. Oh geez, not again.

Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Day 69: Out and About. I live in a great city for people-watching. It's so small and dense that the streets are always full of people. Well-dressed bankers scurrying on their lunch breaks. Chic high school students smoking outside the Lycée Ampère. People strolling down Rue de la République. Under all those designer duds. No amount of high-end makeup or custom tailoring can make a stressed, exhausted person who doesn't eat properly and never exercises look. Kept my composure...

Tuesday, 15 March 2011. So managed to get off track with all the noise in the mkt but keeping to schedule diet wise to the fullest and am still starting to see results. My workout routine has not really been up to par but I plan on changing that this week and next. Sunday, 6 March 2011. Rock n Roll, everything going smoothly. I am starting to actually feel better already. One thing to mention is I also decided to quit smoking during these 90 days as well as give up drinking in general.

Eating healthily is simple. I really like and want to eat vegetables. I really like eating (at least) 6 times a day. The connection between my diet and my body is real, if I eat crap I look crap. Going to the gym without eating carefully is useless. I always knew I liked skipping for a good reason. An average apple weighs 170gms.

I bet that most of us choose different reasons for doing this program. For me…several factors were in play. Fat loss: I had been slowly gaining weight. Over the past 3 years. Even though I was exercising (running on treadmill, elliptical and some (loosely used term) free weights. SO, here are some not so scientific observations:. Improved s...
